  1. I have informed my insurance company that I am moving all 7 policies to another company and it sounds like AMI could be a contender.

    Ok 3-4 Questions?

Hi Rox after goog'ling " red spots" the best I can come up with after all the previous stupidity is Red pest ( never heard of it myself) recommended cure is chloromycetin. I suggest you google also, as there seems to be a fair few people who have also come across the same symptoms.

    Diandra?

If it breaks up and clogs your filter then it is cabomba if not then it is ambulia.
  4. I recently had a bad experience with the company I am currently with. 1 of my tanks broke when the silicone gave way. The insurance company wold not cover the tank damage because it was a " manufacturer's" fault even though the tank was quite old ( I can go with that ) however they would not cover the carpet because they claim it is a fixture not a fitting ( I do have a problem with that ). My advice is check the small print and ask questions before you pay your money.

    Thanks fulloc. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
  7. No joy on the big tank or carpet ( on contents), they will cover the smaller tank/filter/heater and light,I am collecting estimates to send.
  8. Thanks Phoenix. I think it is the company policy not just mine S/girl better not name the company or I might be in trouble.
  9. Are any of them still alive? If yes then I would be transferring them to another container of some sort as soon as possible.
  10. No the carpet is not stuck it is held in place with smooth edge. they only cover rugs on contents ins. I agree about the quote Phoenix. I also have to price equivalent filter to a 404 and a double light fitting.
  11. Just had a call from my insurance co. They will not cover the cost of drying the carpet on my house contents. But will on building insurance, unfortunately my excess is $1500 so it is pointless. They will not cover the 950L tank because they blame faulty goods. They will cover the second tank because it was caused by impact. I have told them I am pulling the pin on all 5 policies and 2 memberships.
  12. my case is a MPK-PHA it fits a Sony Cyber-shot camera. Might pay to ask questions to find out if it could be compatible.

    OH DEAR!

Yes we have insurance, I am more concerned that had someone been standing in front of it they would have been most likely killed. It is not going back, at least not as a 950l tank. I am going to have a Paludarium in it's place.

    OH DEAR!

10mm glass 2.4x600x600 with euro bracing as well as normal bracing, it looks like the centre brace has given way. ( do not know age of tank, not new.)Just as well no one was standing in front of it as the force of water threw the glass across the garage and smashed a 1200x450x450 tank also with guppies, also causing my fluval 404 to pack up. 2 broken lights. I managed to save about 50 and my skunk loach (first time I have seen it in months.) Water travelled as far as the bedroom. Looking on the bright side it could have been worse. No one was hurt and thankfully it was not my Discus or gold nugget tanks.

    OH DEAR!

One of my 950L guppy tanks just exploded, front glass totally gone 700-1000 guppy gone in a instant.
  18. jim r

    vertical guppy

I think this might help, however I also think you shoud check your water quality.
  19. jim r

    vertical guppy

It could be a bacterial infection.

    vertical guppy

    IMO yes,it is swim bladder.
  21. OK if you have eliminated the water what next? Have you got anything in your filter which might cause a crash?
  22. Try putting some tap water in an empty container (check PH)and leave for a couple of days just to see if anything happens.(re -check PH) Sometimes you have to eliminate possibilities one by one.
  23. A lot of people have had problems with female guppies, they become huge but then die before dropping any fry, I have had this problem also although none of mine have actually burst. I do not know of anyone coming up with any answers.
