What size tank are you moving them from? The Danios would be better in the AR380 if the other is larger. I've seen recommended minimum tank sizes for these loaches range between 75 litres and 208 litres. So I would say that yes the AR380 at 38 litres is a bit small. I believe they can be a bit aggressive and territorial, so if you go putting them in a small tank the aggression between them may increase.

I know loaches can be tricky to catch. I just use two nets. Curious though as to why you want to put bengal loaches into such a small tank?

I totally agree with this. Did you test the pH of the water BEFORE you put it in the tank?

Small Loaches such as Dwarf Chain look good in a group of six or more. You could go for Yoyo or Zebra loaches too although mine don't dwell on the bottom very much.

I have the same plant and someone here ID'ed it as giant hygrophila/hygrophila corymbosa I have masses of it too.

We have relatively new neighbours on both sides of us. On the left we have a middle aged couple with 4 dogs. That like to bark. Alot. But I can't complain because they've been pretty quiet lately and I don't know what our 2 dogs get up to while we're away. On the right we have a younger guy with a set of drums. I actually don't mind him banging away on the drums, I like musicians and he is quite good, and he keeps it to reasonable hours of the day. I have an electric guitar myself but don't play it very loudly.

More details? Size of tank, how long has it been set up? Any other fish in the tank? Whats the "normal" way of cleaning for you? Did you check the ammonia, nitrate, nitrite? Most people will agree that neons are not hardy fish. I've never had much luck with them. Perhaps you could go for another type of tetra instead? Cardinals are same colours but more expensive, glowlight tetras have an orange stripe and they are cheaper than cardinals but are far more hardy than neons I've found.

Yeah I have no problem with them being in my garden, but when I find it mauled half to death by my dog, well thats a bit upsetting. I wish they could share the hedge too Caryl! I am only thinking about their welfare and the neighbours. They should just stay away from the dogs. Cos when the silly dogs see a hedgehog they just bark like crazy. I don't even know why they don't leave them alone, those spikes look pretty nasty!

Is it breeding season for hedgehogs or something? I've had to take 4 hedgehogs (both dead and alive!) away from where our dogs are in our back yard in the last 4 days. Never before have I seen so many hedgehogs!

What do you like?? How many many in your current group? I have an AR850 and have loaches mostly with glowlight tetras and a bristlenose. You could get another kind of tetra perhaps, for a bit of colour say cardinal tetra? Or glowlight tetras, or half a dozen platys? Guppies?? Tiger Barbs, cherry barbs?

Right, well then no. My little mid range cellphone can browse facebook, download my email and play mp3s. And a bunch of other stuff that is surplus to my requirements. I'm happy. And if I do want something bigger, I have my laptop.
