ok here is the problem i have a leach problem in my pond which i can only suspect are from some drift wood i got fro the beach as the only other thing i've added since the break out of leaches are plants bought from garden centres and i am sure they wont have leaches on their plants, would they??. have no idea how to get rid of it. does anyone know a way that they have tried that worked or know of a way?? i am unable to go for the trial and error method that i usually do as this is an 8000L pond and any treatment would cost a bit. and empty the pond is not an option as i have no were to house 100 odd gold fish and its just a pond lining pond which means i would not be able to get in and scrub it anyway. only thing i've tried is pond salt and all it did was killed some of my plants. can anyone help me? thought and suggestions all welcome. thanks in advance.

one other sign is they keep telling u they love u and ur the best but really has anyone tried this as seen it worked?

no i think ur right on the money there. its the combination of it still been alive and getting torn to pieces.

anymore info? tank mates, size of tank, water quality....... unless his fins are all clamped and staying in a corner i wouldn't be too worried

evil pretty much covered it. JBL do a good planting mix. i rather use small dark color gravel than sand IMO its much easier to keep clean as sand shows every little bit of dirt and algae

i breed goldfish as well so i am use to kulling fish but this to me looks unique rather than deformed. i like them all fancy gold fish are "deformed". there is a very unique breed of goldfish called the meteor that's is exactly like that with no tail. [u never know u could start a new breed :lol: ]

no expert but chances are the first lot will be gone within the week either eaten by others in the tank or parents themselves as they need practice at been parents. either way they will spawn again a month later. don't really need to do anything just leave them to it.

since its a egg scatter it could be just egg bound. not 100% sure what cause it something to do with protien? i am sure caryl can tell u with her disease book

my GBA's just hatched yesterday so still have their sacs. did u hatch them in the trap or catch them after?

temperature and ph of the tank? some more info would help.

i have some in a out door pond just floating around. it survives but doesn't grow very well and very slow. [i would think the water only gets to about 10 degrees at the very lowest]

how about change in color? or wasting away and not eating? have u tried any medication yet? sound like u are at a point where u need to do some drastic water change and get some sort of treatment goin.
