make sure the tank water is really really clean. u can use both white spot and melafix at the same time. but melafix by itself should do the trick hope it gets better soon

IMO oxyshells do work [no idea how] but when i am busy and forgets to clean the filter which slows the water flow and stops pumping bubbles been such a crowded tank at the moment some fish starts gasping for air and i'll drop an oxyshell in [cuz i have to go to work] and by the time i am back they're all fine.

got myself a 300watt Weipro off trademe awhile ago but only actually using it these couple of weeks as just want to say its the best one yet. it has perfect accuracy [better than the stainless steal aquaone i have]and its compact in size [smallest one out of aquaone normal and stainless, jebo and masterpet] but have not seen any for sale these days :-? no one has said anything about the Jager, never owned one myself because of the price. is it worth the price?

ur need to ask ppl from christchurch as here in Auckland we get tanks and stand quit cheaply compare to rest of the country. i've got a 6x2x2 turtle tank made for $300 and that was retail not straight from the tank maker. and a friend of my made me a stand which was just a simple table. material cost just over $200 so i would expect u should be able to do it around $800 in Chrischurch.

hay ya natalie do u mind changing ur profile so we know where abouts in NZ ur in? both of those Pleco have been bred in captivity before but would be hard to find breeding pair just from LFS. when u say snowball do u mean the L102? here is a link on breeding them http://www.planetcatfish.com/shanesworl ... cle_id=266 but keep in mind that most of the snowball/snowflake plecos in NZ are actually Lda33 which has to my knowledge not been breed in captivity as they grow huge and takes along time to grow, in similar situation as the royal and gold nugget.

ur find they're all pretty much the same depends what ur after mite be easier just to ask us :lol: i am sure most of us here [myself included] hardly buy anything retail anymore.
