  4. i've got 2 300watt and a 50 watt JEBO going and the 300 watts are fine its the 50 watt that is playing up. i've got it set on 22 degrees and it sometimes shots up to 25 before dropping back down. i wouldn't necessary say aquaone is better mind u they probably came out of the same factory in China
  5. its only around 150Litres so i wouldn't bother with anything too fancy like a sump or anything IMO just an large canister filter will be fine. aquaone CF 1000 would be enough but ofcause the CF1200 would be better

  9. its BBA [black beard algae] Pond Care AlgaeFix works every time but i only use it as an last resort as its quit toxic and will kill any plants that are like weeds. http://www.pondpetsusa.com/water_treatm ... aeFix.html other methods are barley straw extract and flourish excel but both of these takes a while to fix the problem.
  10. the male bristlenose should Chase off an kuli loach no problem
  11. they are VERY aggressive to a point sometimes u need to separate a breeding pair which should be in a 5 foot tank. no just smaller fish they will eat all fish or harass them to death if they don't fit in their mouth
  12. http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/bristl ... 14592.html if u read the last paragraph of the article below it explains how the L144 came about with cross breeding a golden male and a normal female than breeding back with its father ....... quit an interesting article and using his set up and technique GBA spawns constantly 3 spawns from 2 female in less than a month http://www.planetcatfish.com/shanesworl ... cle_id=310
  13. giant danios get to around 6 inch fully grown or if u can get hold of some gardenri killies would look really cool.

    bio media

yes i've read that on line as well but it mite have trace of heavy metals. i use small bits of pumice as its just as cheap. i would think that bio balls and ceramic noodles would still be the best stuff to use as thats what they are designed for.

  22. here is the site from the trade me auction above on how it works http://mikesfishing.com/sinkpump/ u need to have the tap running just to get the water out of the tank. looks to me like a very water wasting way to do a water change [ur be using double the amount of water] but it sure would be handy.
