Yeah the males and females are totally different in colour. None of my females even show a hint of red.. she is more bronzey and yellow tones with black.
The males I noticed can change colour rather alot, breeding mode being more of the red colouration yet the other day my male out of the pair we are currently breeding from, almost looked very similar to her colouration throughout the day, it was a hard case.
It is the females that we had major problems with, in a group, mentioned in another thread, they decided to pick each other off before we intervened, just out of the blue, things too a nasty turn
Yeap definately not from me but from the same stock that I have.
Just watch the smaller one, the more dominant Sajica can decide to pick at the weakest link, might pay to give some good cover as firenzenz mentioned.
Si
The tropheops that your one came from did not come into the country with any given variant, so ID on variant is unknown, just Ps. tropheops. So that is all they can or should be labelled.
We have a colony and have bred for us, and they are a beautiful fish.
They do infact look exactly like a picture in Ad Konings book, there are some beautiful variants out there.
Hmm what rain? Been beautiful here last couple of days   Spring weather more so than Winter
We are pretty lucky in HB, can't complain, can't complain 8)
I was breeing Apistogramma sp. Nanay Melgar last year and hopefully someone still has some floating around? (not literally floating either)
I had the young go up north so hope they ended up with someone who wanted to continue breeding them 8)
Yeah definately aggression showing with the lemon males
And yeah Caryl... it is crazy... looks like the lemons are definately on the back burner for a couple of weeks, I am full on raising these Oscar babies and now I have curviceps that have spawned big time, heaps of eggs, now more Sajica and have a Rainbow Melanochromis with a huge crop full due to be stripped and yes well Steindachneri fry that I am feeding up big time on BBS aswell, those BBS cultures aren't going to be stopping anytime soon
Downloaded or bought? hehe
Would have to say last album bought was Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears.. gee that was quite some time ago now
Hubby bought Mesemerize - System of A Down for my birthday... that was the last one bought as such really even tho I wasn't present at the time
Awesome Neon, aren't they fantastic little fish We have just seperated our pair into a tank.. and they are getting a bit jiggy over a certain bit of rock.
Good Luck with this batch, they should love those BBS and microworms 8)
The thing that would peeve me is that it seems they have used past customers or present customers as targets using their email addresses, to benefit (even tho I am sure that whole microsoft thing is a hoax)
Hmmm :-? :-? Seems they thought they were on a real winner, money making scheme   That would tick me right off receiving those junk spam chains...
I wonder if they have been poaching email address through peoples profiles or icon at bottom of posts? Especially since TTK mentioned having never dealt with them :-?
Oh and thanks or that Hans
So are there rather a few that are getting this email to their private emails?
Could everyone please keep this thread posted on who is or has had one.
Also what is the content of the email that they send? 8)
 farmchick, I can imagine  It is amazing that they use that one as a pull, some guys think they are chick magnets so they think they can say anything.
Pewwwwwwkkkkk :-? Wonder how many sleaze balls attempt that one, deserves a good slap
Awesome stuff, be sure to keep us updated and pics if possible
I am a little envious myself... I am setting up a new tank later this year, can't come quick enough
