  1. Sweeet I love that bright white substrate look.
  2. The black beard or the Java fern?
  3. Thanks for the compliments ppl 8) Nah, it's not hard to keep clean. I have 2 external filters running and the fish never leave any uneaten food. I seldom do gravel vacs but I do a major clean once a year or whenever I need to introduce or catch fish. Yeah, the clam shell is real. The dominant fish always chooses it as his territory  I'll try for a sky scraper next
  4. Yeah, but only on one side
  5. Thanks Ryan. Yeah, it was the Brown Hap going in. He went through quarantine fine. He hid for the first couple of days but he was soon out at the front of his tank checking me out and asking to be fed  So far so good with him in the display tank. He looks good in there and he's enjoying the extra space. With a bit of luck I'll be setting it up tomorrow or next weekend
  6. Hi all. I introduced a new fish to my African display tank today and I also had to catch some juveniles so I removed all the 'furniture' and redecorated Here's before and after shots for your edification. It looks sort of the same I know. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like in a week or two after the fish have things to their liking
  7. It sounds as if you're doing everything right so far.....have a read of this article, it explains the disease and it's treatments http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/ich.php
  8. Good luck with your Discus 8) Can someone do something about a drool emoticon?? Or a 'Green with Envy' one?
  9. Sorry to hear of your loss I've found this article to be helpful http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/ich.php
  10. C4 are running his videos at the moment if any fans want to tune in.
  11. What kind of fish are being nipped? I think it might be a case of choosing the right tankmates for it. My Blind Cave Tetras don't have any tankmates that have long fins, and the tanks not at all crowded so the Blind Caves never bump into another fish to get the opportunity to nip.
  12. He's great.....he's a realistic and honest person. If he ran for a government position I'd vote for him. And she wasn't the best interviewee either. I'm pretty sure she didn't understand much of what Paul had to say and I have a feeling that she didn't really understand what she was saying.
  13. Definitely a spectator sport  I'm well too old
  14. I don't think they school. Mine certainly don't
  15. I like mine I have had three of them in a 4 foot/200 litre for around two years. They're always active and don't bother their tankmates at all. Maybe I have the only well behaved ones? 8)
