  4. Hi all. Does anyone have one or heard any feedback on this kind of nail trimmer? http://www.peticure.com/ I've read some reviews and I'm thinking of getting one but it'd help to hear what someone closer to home thinks of them
  5. Come to think of it, I didn't post an intro when I joined
  6. Yeah, I agree with Mystic. It sounds like they're OK and being looked after just fine.
  7. Hi chaat I've seen my Africans do it too, especially the Fryeri, with no losses. Like Smidey, I put it down to behaviour. A couple of questions for you..... How long have you had the fish? How long has the tank been running for? Whats your water change regime? Are your fish doing it in small bursts or is it a constant thing?

  14. I've had fish with damaged eyes before, from injuries, not popeye. I have isolated fish and applied Meth Blue directly to the eye daily with small daily waterchanges. On other occasions I've simply isolated the fish and used no meds, just small daily waterchanges. Both methods worked well with the former being the quicker.
  15. This is going to be an interesting thread for me . I tried breeding my pair but I think the male was too old and he never managed to make a nest. Good luck with yours 8)
  16. How cruel of you to play tricks on the youngster.......wish I was there to see it  They are so cute at that age 8)

  18. I use a length of garden twine and tie a knot in it until it's similar in size to the inside diameter of the hose. Commonly known as a 'Pull Through'

    gemini!

Very pretty. Nice healthy looking fish you have there.
  20. Hi PP. I calibrate it every time I use it, which isn't often, but it seldom needs adjusting and for my purposes a small fluctuation doesn't worry me too much. It came with a buffer solution to calibrate it which has no expiry date that I can see and you use a tiny amount, just what wets the tip. It has a 9 volt battery and it should last for a while, depending on usage of course. HTH
  21. I've used the JBL ones but I prefer Aquarium Pharmaceuticals (API) for Ammonia and Nitrite. I use a digital pH meter.
