  1. 8) That'll work Nice job...of the stand and tank
  2. Keep a close eye out for fry among your rocks......if there's plenty of hiding places some may survive....I get fry released into my display tank quite often and 2 or 3 usually survive.

    I've come back

Hi Shelley. Welcome back to the forums :bounce:
  4. Congrats on the spawning.....WOW That's a lot of fry, well done Like you, I thought it was around 40, that's about what mine produced the last time I bred them deliberately. Mine spawned today :bounce: but in the Community tank so I won't get anything unless I intervene.
  5. I like my females to have a tank of their own and let them release the fry in their own good time, then I remove her.
  6. 8) Aulonocara sp. "Stuartgranti Maleri", Sunshine Peacock, a beautiful fish
  7. I had a Black Shark just like yours......but he didn't get a trip to the freezer. I took him to an LFS and swapped him for 2 Electric Yellow juvies.....score 8)
  8. Congrats on the spawning :bounce: Any chance of posting a pic of the male? Hopefully someone can give you an ID.
  9. I've had it happen too but it hasn't seemed to have harmed any fish although I did get rid of as soon as I saw it. It only happened on new suction cups and eventually it stopped forming.
  10. Nice tank LA and super healthy looking fish I've recently done the same thing and it made nice change to the tank. The Java Fern is still holding in there after a week or so :bounce:
  11. Hi Lucy If you click on the blue banner at the top of the page it will take you to the homepage. If you hover your cursor over 'Technical' you'll get a drop down and you'll see where to go from there HTH
  12. Hi all. Thanks for the compliments. What gorgeous fish you all have Africans FTW  I have four Sunshines in my display tank, one is a juvie and is still colouring so we won't count him but of the other three, two are 'redder' or a deeper orange, than the other one. I use the redder ones for breeding.
  13. I've posted a few pics of my Africans in other threads and I don't want to repeat myself so I've taken these fresh ones :bounce: Astatotilapia (Haplochromis) brownae, Brown Hap Metriaclima callainos, Cobalt Zebra Sciaenochromis fryeri, Electric Blue Otopharynx lithobates, Aristochromis Red Top Aulonocara stuartgranti, Aulonocara hansbaenschi, Red Shoulder Peacock
  14. You do know that patience is a virtue don't you? Don't worry, I'll be sure to let you know if/when I have fry so you can start talking me into shipping some to you
  15. I'm sure I've heard of a dishwash liquid and sugar mix.

  20. Hi all. I've watched my BNs spawn countless times and the routine is always the same. I have a series of pics, one a day, showing the eggs develop Laid Wrigglers Freeswimming
