  5. Starting to fill out a bit. Thanks to the help of Jen the new ferts have been going in (getting Iron soon) and the growth is reallly starting to show in the green pine and stargrass (have already been trimmed a couple of times), they are motoring. Discus laid eggs last night

Yes hongsloi are rare too. As has been mentioned before you really can't be so picky about these types of fish. We need to get what we're given and breed, breed, breed. Once there's a lot out there you can start mixing them up.

  9. ohh that's the green plant we were talking about that looks like aromatica? I googled it, got this, and got excited  http://www.plantgeek.net/forum/album/pic977.jpg
  10. I remember a while ago people were unsure if this is what it was, I think it needs to be flowered to know exactly. Jen, whereabouts is the glandulosa?
  11. I wonder if it would be possible to make some sort of calculator (like the one for safety factor) to work out the dosage rates for people. Could have options for high-tech/low-tech, water volume, etc etc. A lot of factors involved but could be really useful if someone has the time and mathematical/computer capabilities to do so?
  12. haha same! as soon as these bristlenoses move out the old cube(ish) can be redone
  13. I agree about losing the sword. If you do, post a photo without putting anything else in cos I reckon it will look nice just like that.
  14. Yea that's the way to go, whiteworms are so cheap to 'run' and are a great source of live food. Mine are tearing through a slice of luncheon a day. I'm sure if you started feeding them you'd have eggs in no time 8)
  15. What are you feeding them on? I've been feeding mine colourbits, whiteworms and bloodworms and they're laying at least once a week. The day the fry hatch is usually when they spawn again.
  16. Tonnes of people overseas do it all the time, plantedtank.net is a good place to look at threads on people's planted tanks; high or low tech. Tonnes of good info there, and many other forums around too.
