a school of fish looks nice, i did it with mountain minnows, but i found once they got settled in their tank, they stopped schooling, feeling safe in their environment.
i have over 50, 1cm bristlenoses swimming around my tank. they are all over the place and only hide if i almost touch them :lol:
the parents tend to hide as soon as someone stops in front of their tank.
the smaller of my 2 black ghost knife's will eat an assortment of meat products. the older one i'm having trouble with. he will eat live food, up to a certain size, but very rarely anything else. it is problematic as i can't feed him live food all the time.

the ammonia level is at 0.25 before a water change.
will the nitrItes have any negative effects on the turtle?? am doing water changes, etc, but just want to make sure its not going to cause any serious damage.
i got a new adult female today, put her in a tank that has a male. they have been going each other for most of the night. is this normal?
it's only temporary until i get a heater into another tank. then will be moving her, but will be putting a male in there too.can i expect the same behavior with the other male?
