heres another vote for the wainuiomata pet store. i'm in there frequently just looking at the fish. (want a betta, but can't get one until my rainbow shark has done his dash. tho i hope thats not too soon)

this is how i prepare it: cut into 1cm thick circles, then 1/4 them. boil for a couple of mins freeze. when i want to give Rex, my pleco, some i just throw a couple of pieces into the tank and as they defrost they sink. i put about 5 pieces in as theres normally a fight over who gets which piece between my rainbow shark, pleco and 2 chinese algae eaters. hope this helps. it also saves from dropping foreign objects into your tank.

it enjoys being sucked up my filter too. theres always some little piece of it floating around that ends up in the bottom of the filter

it attaches itself to the stones in the bottom of my tank.

well it seems that chip has gone back to normal size. no sign of eggs or fry, so may have been something else. guess i'll never know :-?

Thanks people. I have had Fred, my albino rainbow shark for almost 4 years. recently got the others and have them all in a 178L tank. My have some baby CAE soon. Just trying to work out if Chip is indeed full of eggs or there is another problem, so thats going to be fun

This is Dale (this is how Chip is supposed to look, except the dark stripe) This is how Chip currently looks They both live in a 178L tank with the fish i have listed below. they both eat the same food. the only thing out of the ordinary that i have noticed, other that Chips size, is that Dale has been chasing him/her aroud the tank every so often. As for water parameters, my flatmate took a water sample for me to the pet store a few days ago and got it tested. the lady there said the water was fine. didn't get the Parameters written down though. Ok, so any ideas as to what is wrong with my fish??

Hey all, I, currently, have 10 fish and 5 cats, though 2 seemed to have gone their own way. I work from home 7 days a week. We do furniture removal and sell printer cartridges. I live with my partner and 5 children (1 mine, 3 his and a spare). I think that's about it. Any questions, just ask. I'll try my best to answer them.
