  2. Wow, now thats interesting, never heard of it before :roll Good Luck with the scan, will be interesting to see what the outcome will be Is this your first?? I had 4 Boys in 5 years so busy busy, oldest is turning 21 next month, really cant believe 21yrs has past, bit frightening really  youngest is 16, and they're all still at home, cant seem to get rid of them, I must be doing something right.

  4. Favourite Fish for me would have to be my 7 Discus, then Keyhole Chiclids, ahhh yes cant forget my little Balloon Ram he's sooo cute :bounce:
  5. Quick update :-) The Tank's on it's way to you Rox :bounce: Would love to see a photo when you get it all set up, she's a beauty :bounce: Lynda
  6. Couldn't get hold of Sandy to drop the tank off to her, so I was going to see if I could drop the Tank around to you phoenix, then Sandy could have picked it up from you, but the Petshop wouldn't give me your number :-( So now the Tank has come back home with me, and Sandy is picking it up in the Morning. Going to be an awesome Tank when it's all set up :-)
  7. Hey Matt, Longtime no see, Hope things are all good with you Now to answer your question re: The Heat Pump, you dont need an attic space to install a Heat Pump if it is installed back to back, meaning the heat pump goes onto an outside wall in the Room, then the outside unit is mounted directly behind it outside. We have 4 heat pumps in a house of 380sqmtrs, and they do a wonderful job. Power Bill isnt to bad either Lynda
  8. Sweet, so all I need to do is pick it up from Manakau and transport it to Palmy, I dont see a problem with that Will be in touch

    Tank makeover

Can you tell me why, all of your plants will die from you medicating your Tank?? What did you medicate with?? and what for??
  10. You may have to find a bigger snail and cut it into smaller pieces, Goodness me I cant believe I just said that, YUK, rather you than me dixon But seriously if that was me I would be trying everything to get them to eat. Has anything in the tank changed recently, do you have any ideas as to why they aren't eating??
  11. The chamber fills with water when you place it in your tank, when you put the CO2 tablet in the dispenser it then pushes the water out of the chamber, this will slowly fill up with water again as the CO2 dissapates. Been awhile since I have used one, but think thats how it worked  Lynda
  12. Glad I can be of help, after all thats what we are all here for How long have you been keeping Tropical Fish for 2fishy??
  13. I'm in Levin, can I ask who you brought the Tank Off, (PM me if you like, I more than likely know the people that sold it to you, maybe I can go and pick it up off them or they could drop it off to me) Could possibly take it to Palmy over the weekend, if I talk nicely to hubby, maybe we could even bring it through to Wanganui for you.
  14. Where does this Tank need to be picked up from?? And where does it need to be taken too, I'm abit lost
  15. They sound awesome, might have to set up a Killie Tank somewhere I think
  16. Pop the temp upto 27ish, see how they go with that, will be interesting to see if the warmer temp gets them moving abit more Would be ideal if you could try and do a water change a week, I'm sure we wouldn't like to be swimming around in our waste products  Good Luck with it, let us know how it goes
  17. I have used one of these for Years, fantastic wee thing, so easy to use, I used to pop a tablet in the dispenser every morning, and hey presto, the plant growth was great I gave it to somebody on this site to try, cant remember who now, so havent been able to use it for awhile  Good Luck with it
  18. Give them abit of time I'm sure they will get it sorted in the end, I've had this happen several times with Breeding Fish, usually by about the 3-4 go they sort out what they are meant to be doing. Good Luck
  19. Tell me, is it ok to put several different varities into the Same Tank  I'm thinking i's probably not a good idea to do this  Now where can I set up a Killie Tank
  20. They should just pick it up from you if you ring them Amy. Haven't fed Discus Tucker before, Not sure what I feed, but it was a mixture of Ox Heart and Veges of some sort in frozen cubes, only feed a few times then I gave up because of the mess, this was when I had a Community Tank
  21. Well, I would think that would be part of your problem, you should be doing a water change weekly really, if you cant do it that often at least fornightly would be great. Did you gravel vac while you were treating for White Spot, the White Spot Cysts will fall into the water when you are treating with medication, you really need to vaccum them up. I mostly always dose twice, if my Fish have had White Spot, it only take one White Spot Cyst to start the Cycle off again, Normally I leave the Fish to have a 3 day break in between the 1st and 2nd dose.
  22. Hmm, so you have one that does that too then Amy, My Snakeskin does that all the time, Bossy little so and so he is. Tell me, do you think it's worth while feeding Discus Tucker, I remember feeding something like this once and man it made one hell of a mess, but then I waterchange every 3rd day so I guess that would sort that problem out aye
  23. Might be a good idea to do a Water Change for a few weeks without doing a Gravel Vac This might speed up the process, I found it did with mine
  24. Temp should be sitting round the 27 degree mark, Sometimes a good idea to up the temp to around 28 when treating for white spot, this speeds up the White Spot Life Cycle. Maybe do a water change and Treat again for White Spot if they are still present. How often are you doing a 50% Water Change??
  25.  :bounce:
