  1. 2. Ok here goes, lets see if I know how to do this  Here's a Pic of Hayden's Car : http://www.bebo.com/PhotoAlbumBig.jsp?M ... 4795520226 Not having much luck posting a pic out of my received files, because obviously I cant LOL, so have posted a link to Hayden's Bebo Page, he's got some good photo's on there, also a photo of his Integra Type R. The first photo on his Bebo Page is one of the one's he had in the Performance Car Mag.
  3. :bounce: Absolutely Stunning :bounce:
  4. My Loaches are fine with Rock Salt, just dont overdose with it I guess
  5. Once you go to Discus I can assure you, you certainly wont regret it :bounce: They are certainly worth the bit of extra work you have to put into them I can even Hand Feed mine now :bounce:
  6. Epsom Salt is usually used if your Fish are Constipated So in other words it makes them Poooo Instead of buying Tonic Salt from the Petshop you can just buy Rock Salt from the Supermarket, does the same job, just make sure it doesn't contain any Iodine.
  7. Apparently Discus release a Hormone or something like that, and this can prevent the other Discus in the same Tank from growing, hence they need to have excellent Water Conditions for them to grow to their full potential. I'm sue there is somebody on here that will correct me if I'm wrong with the info I have just given you. :-? I give my Discus Tank 3 Water Changes a Week of round 70%, I'm guessing if you didn't want to do that many Water Changes then take out more Water but do it less often, maybe 70% twice a week would be enough, that would all depend on the amount of Fish you have in your Tank and the Quality of the water I guess. 8. Will get a pic of his car off the pics he has stored on the other computer and post it on here for you at some stage paul r What are you actually wanting me to Scan?? Did you manage to find the July 2007 PCMag No: 127 ??
  9. Just got home Tanks looking great now :bounce: Have never heard of those Chem Bio Pouch things, can you give me abit more info on them please
  10. I looked at buying a Sunsun External Filter with a built in UV Light. But it was suggested by quite a few people here that I wouldn't need a Filter with a built in UV Light. Maybe thats the way I should have gone instead of getting the CF1200
  11. Might head on up to Taupo with Hayden if he's racing that weekend. Would be gret to meet some of you guys He's busy working on his car once again, getting it ready to race at Manfield on the 5th July, he smacked it up last time he raced at Pukekohe, did 4 Laps then lost it, smacked into the Wall. He's done pretty well really, raced 16 races and only lost it Once Cars had a new Paint Job too Paul R: He was in PC Mag no: 127 July 2007 Always have a couple of spare PC Mags floating around to show Friends and Family
  12. Ok here what I've done Before I went to bed last night, I placed Filter Wool in the Top of the Tank where the exsisting Tank Filter would have run through, I'm not using the inbuilt Filter on this Tank, I added a CF1200 instead, so filled the top up with Filter Wool, looks alot clearer this morning :bounce: So much nicer looking into a clear tank I did think maybe I could run the Inbuilt Tank Filter along with the CF1200 if I really needed too, but seems to me that the Filter Wool is taking care of the little bits that were obviously floating around the Tank. Thanks for your help
  13. I would highly recommend you PM discusguru Fantastic Guy and he's only too happy to help if you have problems off any sort :bounce: I got my 7 Discus from Ron (Discusguru) Gorgeous Fish :bounce: Good Luck
  14. Hmmm  Ok maybe I will try that then, will place some under the Filter Wool and see what that does, not sure I'm going to be able to put much in the Tray, as there's not a lot of room in there really.
  15. Did you rinse out your Filter Media in Tank Water or Tap Water??
  16. OK, so here's what I have in the 3 trays in my CF1200 Filter Tray 1 = Bio Balls Tray 2 = Ceramic Noodles Tray 3 = Filter Wool What are these Bio Balls meant to do?? Would it be better for me to Take out the Bio Balls and replace them with Carbon?? Or more Ceramic Noodles?? I'm finding this rather interesting, so keep the comments coming, everyone has different idea's and theories which is great
  17. David R: Yes Hayden's my Son Love watching him race :bounce: Have to agree once he's on the track he's determined to WIN
  18. Think maybe I started the problem that I now have with him, when he was on Deaths Door, I feed him up on Frozen Bloodworms and Tubifex, thinking I will feed him up on the good stuff, so he will recover from whatever he was stuffering from. Now he wont take anything else :-? Amy: I bought some Discus Tucker specially for him, but none of the Discus are interested in that either, so I feed it to my Swordtails
  19. Or take Multipule Passengers, weither it be new Fish or Family and Friends And where are you going to put that new Tank if you buy one?? Do they make trailers for Motorbikes David R: I think you know my son, who had the write up in the Performance Car Mag, with his Bright Orange Honda Civic
  20. My Discus are so damn fussy, I have a Big Orange Fella, he was one of the one's I nearly lost in my last shipment of Discus from Ron, had to nurse him back to health for a week but he's all good now, all he will eat is Bloodworms and Tubifex, he just Loves Them  He will have the odd nibble at Brine Shrimp, but he's not that fussed. Wont have anything to do with Flake or Colourbits  Have even tried Brine Shrimp Flakes, but no, he wont have them either. He comes out to feed when I feed them Colourbits but looks at them then goes away without eating any. Will he be OK with a diet soley of Bloodworms and Tubifex?? May have too look at using Guppys as feeders
  21. Ohhh That's soooo cute Welcome to the Big Wide World little Fella :bounce:
  22. Phoenix  I couldn't do that, I'm sure plenty of people do breed them for live food, but it's something I just cant bring myself to do
  23. Yea, I have been thinking of the Mini Cycle thing David R  The Tank did go through a Cycle of some sort when I put the new CF1200 on the Tank, same thing happened with my Smaller Community Tank, the smaller Tank cleared nicely, but the Discus Tank never did, even though I used the media that had previously been running on the inbuilt Tank Filters  Really not sure whats the best option to get this sorted
