    gold rams

the tank would have to be real dirty to have live bloodworm in it. Not much difference in the size of ram and fighter frys.

    gold rams

Send them to me and i'll train them to be good parents for free ron
  3. If the parents attack the siphone then there is definately eggs or frys. Be very careful when feeding egg york because it could very quickly pollutr the water and kill the lot including the parents. ron
  4. depend how old the fish is, whether it has pattern up. Could be a turk cross, a brown.........
  5. nice fish, are they from the same batch and what are the parents? ron
  6. Especially when there is a power cut. I would put the spraybar at the top directing the water against the glass. That way you don't have a strong current(which the discus don't like) in the tank. ron
  7. $400 for a pump??? It must be real good.
  8. Breeding rams are easy as but raising them is a different story. Sorry about the lost. It can only get better on the next spawn. ron
  9. If you are too lazy to do mantainance (WC, Cleaning....) then maybe you should breed fish like Guppy, Platty of Swordtail Don't forget apart from cleaning the jars and wc you still have to hatch brineshrimp  ron
  10. Hang on filter in a fighter tank create too much water movement and will stress your fish out making them tired and eventually killing them. ron
  11. Barrie, would like to see pic of your set up if you can post them. I hang mine on the tank because they're in a heated fishroom. ron
  12. I find turning the bottle upside down helps to move the eggs around better. Depends on how many frys I need to feed. The most I had going at one time was 6 bottles using 1 bottle per feeding. ron
  13. I use sea water too, free and no mucking around with salt. Get acoke bottle and cut the base off. Drill a hole in the cap and push a tube through. Seal the hole. Connect an airhose to the tube. Fill it with sea water and put in 1-2 teaspoon of brinshrimp egg. Turn air pump on and wait for 30 hrs for eggs to hatch. Turn air off and let bbs settle to the bottom. Disconnect airhose from pump to drain bbs out through a brine shrimp seive. Make up another bottle as above to put the bbs in and use for feeding. Wash bottle and hatch another lot with new sea water . Hatching photo Storing hatched BBS Hope that help, ron

    fluval 404

Beware of the older 404 model with the curve flap on the impeller because they don't make it anymore and is very hard to get. ron
  16. better still, give him the bottle of med and let him do it himself :bounce: That is why I would use furan2 because it contain methelene blue to hit the fungus at the same time. ron
  17. That equation somehow don't look right to me lol.
  18. Aqua one CF1000, cheap and reliable. Can get off TM or LFS
  19. True, I would have treated it with Furan2. I know a lot of people don't like to use medication and prefer the natural way like increasing temp, salt...... The alternative treatment is only good for minor hick up which can be easily fix with more wc. ron
  20. you should have stuck the fish in a hospital tank and treat it with methelene blue for the fungus. Dabbing it out of water is ok but when you put it back in the tank the med is washed off the wound before it can fix the problem. Just my opinion, ron
  21. Trouble is you get too excited and keep disturbing them and removed the female before they spawn. If you keep on moving the breeders , you will eventually stress them out and kill them. ron
