Congrat ! i bet you are over the moon.
They are pretty easy to keep. Eat pretty much everything and anything.
I haven't seen any ich on mine at all.

Small discus 20-25mm are just babies and have different needs compared to adult discus. They need frequent feeding and waterchange in order to grow and stay healthy.
Mixing them is not a good idea in my opinion. They will get stunted and worst case sinario die after a while due to stress and lack of food.
JMO,

I've got 3 of them and they're all quite. Only ever change the impeller on one of them when it rattle and that fix it. Couldn't see anything wrong with the old impeller too.

Deffinately the open space and better water quality.
Only sick and stress discus hide. Healthy discus should come to the front of the tank when you approach them.

Yes, do a big water change with warm water and checkthe things that the Conch mentioned. There might have been a power cut overnight so check your water parameters too.
Well said Adrriene, Pigeon base discus will ALways have peppering. It will show up when stressed, sick and in dark environment. If you want to minimise it, put it in a BB tank with all the sides painted WHITE and a bright light switch on lol.

A clear pic will help to identify the problem. Otherwise it's just a stab in the dark. Do some big waterchange for a start and add salt to the tank.
What is the temp of the tank?

Thanks guys .
Hi Caper, for CrownTail fighters as they grow the fins on the male will become bigger and longer and they are more colourful. The female is less colourful, shorter finnage and rounder body.
