    Skimmer

Out of the Deltecs, I would go the 600, purely because it has a decentish amount of room for putting carbon/rowaphos/canned fruit etc. I had a look at the 500 the other day and it seemed to lack such things.

I got the 25kg Red Sea Salt tub from HFF (they had it on special) for $129 - worked out to be 17.2something cents/litre.
  4. Heh.. with that setup somehow I don't see a lot of TV getting watched My tank is next to the TV and somehow I just keep ignoring the black box for the large widescreen next to it
  5. Watching fish and eating fudge however, mmmmmmmmmmm

Cool.. I can play this game too finally This lil guy is well cool, love how it shrinks to almost nothing overnight, then wakes up again in the morning (hahahaa spot the noob!)
  13. From reading reefcentral they seem to have a popularity in battling aptasia.
  14. In for a penny, in for a pound?
  15. If you specifically want something, talk to the LFS, whoever it may be... If it's available, chances are what you want is in quarantine, and they will hold it when it turns up. Browsing will always get you the runt end of the order, because it's what isn't snapped up, and NZ isn't a big enough market to hold stock for the sake of it.
  16. Tested today pH 8.2 (salifert) Ammonia <0.25 (undetectable) Nitrite 0.01 Nitrate 3
  17. Totally depends on what you're trying to achieve. 6800K is generally thought good for freshwater/plant growing 10000K seems to be what's generally thought of as standard for corals etc in a saltwater tank and 14000K is also used on marine tanks.. seems from what I've read it's not so good for corals, but people like the blue look That's the sense I've been able to make from reading things anyhows
  18. Just answering the man's question
  19. For water current pumps in that range.. go for the Seio M820's (3200L/hour), I have two in my 5' tank and they work great.
