  1. I'm about to play this game too. My current plan was to dredge up the thread in here where someone could get plastic float switches for about $20ish... and go from there. Plan being to have a container of freshwater, and have the floatswitch control an airpump pushing into that container, forcing freshwater into the tank. You could also have the switch power a pump if you wished. I would like to know if there are any alternatives to the float switch however... like perhaps setting up a probe or something similar in the tank to sense the water level. (yes, I'm paranoid about flooding the tank )

  4. Is anyone planning to collect NSW this weekend - given the weather this week I would have thought it would be a good time. If anyone is, I would be keen to tag along, meet people etc. That and get some water for my tank of course

    Perfect Snail

I have some Nitratii Testikiticus's... cost me $34 each though, worth their weight in gold! Use them for saltwater too.
  13. I picked up an aquaclear one today, plumbed it in. It cleared the top of the tank okay, however it also seems to restrict the flow into the skimmer a whole lot, which I'm betting isn't so cool. More work required I think
  14. $20 for a tube and a 12V power adaptor can't go wrong hehe

  19. Looks like stick on back blue backing actually, identical to mine
  20. What equipment are you running, skimmer etc? Looks like you have had the tank drilled in a couple of places up the top at the back, is there an overflow to a sump somewhere I'm too blind to see?
