  1. Try adding some 'cycle', it contains all the good ammonia and ammonia by product eating bacteria that you need to get a tank up and running quickly.
  2. Yes but you'd have to find a host for it. Try http://orcon.net.nz
  3. Tonic salt it is then. Good thing I'm at work till 8pm and didn't have a chance to add any meds yet!
  4. Nice pics! What size are the parents?

    Baby Jaguars

I was impressed by your jag when I saw her in person KM, be sure to post some pics of the new ones 8)
  6. I don't think carbon actually removes tannins does it? I thought you had to get some sort of special thing to absorb them.
  7. Thanks! I'll get the copper sulfate in there ASAP 8)
  8. The females have comparatively short fins next to the males. Here're a couple of pics of one of my males and one of my females:
  9. I've noticed a few of my guppies have been rubbing themselves on the gravel, they'll turn sideways and swim down and back up really quick. I know this can't be good, does anyone have any idea why they're doing this/what I can do to fix it (if it is bad)?
  10. You might try putting some gravel in from an established tank too, because not much bacteria lives in the actual water. Better yet, some 'cycle' if you have it. Add livestock soon after you do this though, because you want to give the bacteria something to eat.
  11. Nice looking female Phillz, I've got one that looks just like her 8)
  12. Use copper sulfate! It's a lot less stressful and in my opinion more effective than malkon blue!
  13. All depends on how bothered you want to be I suppose. A sump wouldn't be bad in any way and couldn't hurt, could only make things more stable.
  14. Might be a gold nugget, looks almost like a bristlenose though.
  15. They ended up eating the babies. The next day I came home and saw my Angels had spawned. "Cool" I said and then, in front of me, they ate all of their eggs too.
  16. It's possible that they do just yell all the time. Maybe they have a hearing problem. Oh and Hi.
  17. Not a problem, let me know how it goes!
  18. Do a partial water change first, yes.
  19. Use Copper Sulfate instead of Machalite. IMO it's way better. When my four clowns got white spot none of them died of it (but three of them died from jumping out of their containers - live and learn I guess) and I treated them with that. It's commonly sold as a snail killer.
  20. Without even looking at your list of fish I would say they're Mollies too.
  21. Try starving them for a while, that'll make them less picky. At least it does with Axolotls.
  22. He's talking about H. Difformis though
  23. Maybe his jaw's gotten locked? That happens to me sometimes, and to my dad heaps. You just have to sort of move it side to side until it rights itself.
  24. Nice pics! Where'd you catch them from?
  25. If you have your output agitating the surface you should be fine without an air stone.
