Hi I was lucky enough today to find a pair of these beauties, the colour on the male is fantastic and the female is pretty nice too they are a pair which i was surprised to find , i watched them in the shop for a good 15 and they were just about inseparable. Fingers crossed

5 phones is max for ringing current in the area you are Cee's More likely i'd say was your running whats known as 3 wire jacks without putting the blue wire through, easyest way to over come this is to replace your jacks with 2 wire jacks, easy to tell which is whick , 3 wire jacks have a M or and E on the front , 2 wire jacks have a 2 on the front. the ones with M's will still be ringing but ones with E's probaly not.

Well done guys, the little guys i got from your are doing well in my 700L and seem happy as .

2nd batch of fry are growing a little , taking no chances this time i've moved the parents to another tank. heres some pictures of the fry today.

Update : We now have a 2nd batch of eggs and the parents will be coming out very soon , got another bigger tank ready for them so i hope this wil be better, guess i'm taking a little bit of a chance but there good until the fry are free swimming so i've left them this long fanning the eggs etc. fingers crossed. :roll:

could someone fill me in on the "WHY" Alan resigned , PM is fine or this thread ? He is so into his Killies it seems strange.

Hi The seperate tank would be by far the best, just make sure you use water from the first tank and if possable some filter medium too. Before any eggs would be best and if they have got aa pot or something there using as a cave ( breeding spot ) take that with them too.

Hi It does sound like the couple are about the become parents , let them have plenty of quite private time , what else in in there tank ? they will be quite agressive to anything that comes near. if they lay eggs they will hatch in about 5-6 day and stay in the cave/pot for another 5-6 days after that daddy will bring them out and thats the awesome bit , seeing the pround parents showing off there new babies , leading them round the tank like a mother duck with a new batch of ducklings
