  15. Hi I'm setting up a bigger tank for my Lemon Cichlids who are currently in two separate smaller thanks, I have a pair of large adults , 8 young about 2-3cm each and probably 50 fry about 7-8mm each, the fry are currently in with the adults and there is no problem with them being thought of as food by the adults. I want to put them all together but will the move course this to change or is the key the order to which there introduced to the new tank? I'm making lots of caves and hidey holes some too small for the adults to fit in so hopefully a sanctuary for the smaller fish. I've read and it seems so that these guys are good parents What do you guys think?

  21. Hi everyone Well do i feel like a fool  For weeks now i have been trying to breed Congo tetras, tried all sorts of food to condition them , differant types of breeding traps for saving the eggs and now twice we have had good safe spawnings but the eggs seem to just "melt" to nothing and nothing comes of them. Well tonight i decided to try some thing else , a new extra large breeding net i made with some plastic mess, so set up a new tank useing 50% water from there old tank and 50% new and moved them, they seem happy so time to wait ............ With there old tank i cleaned it out 90% of the old water and set it up to try some Giant Danios , all again looks good , no problem you think, that is until just now when i got look at the Danios and find 2 Congo tetra fry swimming under the breeding net !   How many did i not see and trow away !! aaaahahhhhhhhh i am a nut !

  23. Thanks Guys great advice as always , i was thinking just disply Kyle but knowing me I'd want to breed them at some point so i think i'll just hold off for now but i can see me doing the killie thing one day 8)
  24. I'll admit it I know NOTHING about killies so want to ask a very basic and maybe a silly question. Can all/most killies be kept together ? What I'm meaning is could i set up a killies only community tank ? Thanks Paul
  25. Hi Can anyone please tell me what Emperor Tetra Eggs look like ? I mean size , colour , numbers. I know they are egg layers rarther than scattered and lay one at a time but i'm not sure what i'm looking for. I have 6 in a large tank with bare bottom and a heap of java moss and I'm sure they must be laying as the males are always chasing the females and some days they have fat bellies and the next there slim again but as yet no fry and i have not seen any eggs. Any help would be awesome , Thanks
