  1. Happy to heat it Jude, Well done Tim
  2. Hi I was setting up a breeding tank for some bristlenose's and i bought a long peice of bamboo from the local garden centre, i cutt it to foot lengths with the solid peice in the middle forming two caves in each bit and everything looked good, i thought i'd leave it a few days to settle before adding any fish and I'm pleased i did as there seems to be sap coming from the bamboo. My question is , Is this harmful for the fish if so what can i do about it ? it sort of floats way and looks like snot in the water so does not look nice either , I have thought about boiling it , would that be the answer ? thanks for your help in advance
  3. Hey Jude If you need to house some fish while you recycle , let me know I'm sure i can find some space somewhere
  4. I've made a large breeding box about 18" by 10" by 10" the parents are in and thats set inside a 2 foot by 2 foot by 2 1/2 foot tank tothemselves , the largest fry is now only about 5-7 mm but growing fast
  5. Further update : I now have 30 free swimming fry moved to another tank getting fed up and growing nicely , there are still more in the breeding tank dayly which will also get more as i can but the adults are still dropping eggs. All signs are looking good
  6. you raise some very valid points there Bill, and all you say COULD be true, and with the state of the guppies these days COULD be is enough to give it a go, I have two "strain" guppy lines that at breeding true and have also had no deformities at all, and a tank with a mismatch of "pretty" guppies that DO, I'm going to Cull all i find with deformites and try and end the line there .... worth a try to get back to good healthy stock Thanks Bill
  7. yes i think you did Alan

  19. its your site Cee's and you call the shots so fair enough, i thought i was adding something possative to the site by shareing what i've always thought to be good pictures and the like but if not wanted then thats ok too, i never replied to your pm because i wrongly assumed that the 50kb you put was a typo , and your PM was quickly followed by another saying my pictures had been deleted. Still i've met some really nice peple on here, i'll miss them
  20. No idea Bill, did just the same , upload to photobucket , then posted from there .???? Just getting very sick of the politic's and rubbish going on here and questioning myself if its worth it.
  21. I upload to photobucket which automaticly reduces the size and then post from there... its just nit worth the hassle it seems to cause when all your trying to do is share a few pictures.
  22. Sorry guys my pictures were to big for you all to see , will not happen again as i don't think i'll bother again. seems strange to me , you can post as many pictures as you want in as many threads as you want but as soon as you post in the tread FOR tank pictures there "too big " The one thread where you expect pictures so the dial up people know to either wait or avoid the tread ?? Maybe its just me but this seems nuts and is pesonall driving me away from this site. I thought it was about shareing information ,pictures and ideas ..seems only up to 128k
  23. yep me too , was also worried when u first saw them but blood worm it is
  24. no worries , and yes Caryl , give the poor things a chance ...lmao
