  1. This has always been one of my Fav's , not because there fantastic fish or its such a great picture , just because of the mix of colours and the dreamy colours on the water.
  2. nice going Caryl , your going to be able to breed a lot of rosy barbs in there !!!
  3. On the floor is no problem except cleaning , what i'd try and do is get a sheet of strong ply wood and some bricks/blocks and just raise it a few inches at least , this will make syphoning so much easyer when cleaning.
  4. Well this is how i've gone for now anyway. With the Angels i've put a pair of Blue Rams , apair of Kribensis and my male Cockatoo Cichlid ( female will go in but she's caring for babies at the moment ) still looking for a top dweller , maybe some glowlight danio's , not sure yet  BTW its about 100- 120 L tank
  5. Yes , and these are big Angels so maybe neons or cardinals are not to suited.
  6. UPDATE : Tonight all the eggs are wriggers, only lost one egg to fungus which was quickly removed to stop it spreading, Blue Ram fry now nearly absorbed there egg sacks and are now swimming in short bursts. keeping fingers crossed but seems to be going well
  7. Hi I've just resetup my hex tank that leaked , i'll be putting the Angels back in it when its ready but want something to add a bit of life and colour to it. I'll put in bristlenose as a cleanup crew , its planted with a nice peice of driftwood but what else ?? any ideas welcome. Thanks
  8. they say ramshorn snails are really good for cleaning up waste and i guess they do but i think snails are a pain in the butt, if you want some come see me I'll give you some.
  9. Good luck this time , fingers, toe's and eyes crossed for you
  10. Still looking good this morning no sign of any fungus , there is Methylene blue in the tank and the little blue Rams that hatched early in the week are still cool too , so all looking good so far fingers crossed
  11. lost a lot to fungus ( did not know they would still fungus once they were at wriggler stage ) but stil have about 15-20 wrigglers that had moved away from the main bunch , this is my best result so far with Rams.
  12. Hi I have a really nice pair of Golden Rams they have layed eggs 3 times now but never got to the wriggler stage either through fungused eggs or the parents eating the eggs. Tonight they have layed again with a huge grouping of eggs on a stone they like to use. In an attept to rase some to adulthood I've then them complete with stone and moved them ( eggs on the stone ) to another tank with some met-blue and a gentle current flowing over them. Time will tell if i did right or if i should have left them. What do you guys think ? i never like to interfear unless i have too
  13. looking VERY nice an awesome start !! keep up the pic's as you change it to suite plant growth like Caryl said Well done
  14. I breed some fish which i sell on trade me but not to make money just to take the edge of the power bill allowing me to carry on with the hobby, can't see with the community tropicals I breed how you could make much money.

  17. A little hard to heat my garge Alan due to a double roller door opening every time i take the car out , still i do don't where your coming from and i will look for other ways Thanks
  18. Hi Alan , Yes great idea and i guess i could do it on my 700L tank but what about the 41 other tanks 42 times $30 makes expensive insureance ( $1260 ) . But your point is well taken
  19. too hot in her room Wok, would be better if Adele move in there and i used the master bedroom for tanks , after all there a ensuite which would be handy for water changes
