  1. those are the best fighters i've ever seen in those colours.. dam..! those black/greens and reds are absolutely stand out. are these for sale chin?
  2. Luke* replied to yeeahboy's topic in Freshwater
blasphemy! (good post tho otherwise haha)
  3. do you mean they're losing their colour continually but on a rostered basis? are you water changing with cold water or something? dechlorinating? discus' full colour is only reached at 12-18 months. that's what i always liked about growing them out from young......they get better in time.
  4. great fish! condition male and female seperately on a wide variety of live/frozen foods then put them together. my strategy was to float a round goldfish bowl inside a normal fishtank and i got 300 fry this way. then i could remove the parents to the outside, female first, father bit later (once they get to free swimming) goodluck
  5. will try my best to make it even just one of the days.. labouring in ham but some of these old fence posts may come in handy who knows
  6. omg these are very nice fish! well done!! http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/p ... sque1.jpeg
  7. i also found skunks to be semi-aggressive so just get annoying chasing the other inhabitants
  8. it symbolises the general public of morons who write stuff like whetu just wrote on other people's video postings on youtube. sooo annoying how people write "sux" or "i could do better"..... yeah? well go DO better!! people do this in life all the time too. e.g "that band sux"... yeah? well make your own band that doesn't then you can comment dougie houser!
  9. heya.. it's best to condition them seperately, then move them to their honeymoon tank; but move the female over first let her settle in for an hour by herself. females don't usually like to be rushed
  10. option c would be the most fun.. option b is the easiest if you want a big school just simply buy them. yep you'll need to keep the eggs dark and put in a few drops of methylene blue. it's best to breed them again after their first spawn as the eggs will be fresh. if you can condition males and females seperately then put them together and use an egg trap or marbles. goodluck! they're a stunning fish in the right setting
  11. hahaha niiiiiice cuz like.... yeah.... you're so so good and everyone else like.. sucks mmmm
  12. I'm with FeedingFrenzy on this one because I have heard from two reliable sources that these facilities are well well below par on an international level and the reason they cannot get more dolphins is because people from overseas with the ability to sell or send them dolphins are unwilling to do so. A tetra in a 4 foot tank comparatively would be like a dolphin in an olympic-sized swimming pool. sounds like marineland did a top job with what they had though. and also $100 is not that much to go see dolphins playing in their world. I did this in Fiji and it was much cheaper (bout $50) and involved a snorkle of a real reef too

nothing wrong with cats at all.. they're cool to have around and some have really nice fur like this one where i'm staying at the mo, she's like garfield!! haha think she might be part persian?
  14. khmf! hahaha nice. great news. good you can stop being a dancing monkey for a while and get some sweet rest
  15. i've changed how i used to think... now i know there's definitely "the other side" but only in a positive sense...you heal there and that's why ppl are usually happy and content. suicide victims are counselled seperately and learn that often only a few small changes would've changed their whole outlook eg exercise is a proven antidepressant due to the endorphin release into the body. i love the skeptics. i wonder how they can watch lisa williams or the sensing murder psychics (of late even under the watchful eye of detectives) and still not believe when they come up with names, ages, body size, personality traits that are all TRUE. remember the police cannot go up and grab the guy they named and send him to prison. if in 10 yrs they had no evidence on him they probably still don't!! at least the psychics can bring some solace to the families. and if that means the producers get rich who cares? ppl get rich from a lot worse. but oh yeah somehow the psychics are fake cos they read up every missing person case or murder and memorised them all lol ...come on, think about it ps sue nicholson one of the sensing murder psychics selected the other psychics for the show by analysing their auras..through this she could gauge their ability. pps if you watched the show about their lives you would realise that their gift is also a curse. eg kelvin lost his wife over it. ppps psychics lead police to the find clothes of a missing schitzophrenic man which then lead them to find his body. I nearly had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met.
  16. the best bunch of fry i ever got i took a tank 45cm (long) x 20cm x 20cm filled with java moss and put in a huge fat female. the fresh water (pre-warm and condition it of course) will cause her to give birth. got 60 fry doing this method!!
  17. love the agassizi!
  18. good on you Bryan and seahorsemad
  19. how did it go Mark? I must say I enjoyed the park when I came around last week and it will look great after a working bee to get everything sorted like the tuck shop. we also got stalked by 200 chickens who looked at us like food pellets new charity auction: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =174646510

bummer yeeahboy overseas someone reckoned the florida flagfish would eat it but i think it's toxic so i find this unlikely. i assume the florida flagfish as they called it is the american flagfish here.

  23. I read recently people have been saying that since the dawn of time seeing change scares people that's how you get old grouchy people cuz they look at everyone younger than them like a criminal. don't worry, even if the cops don't get to them there's a huge karma force that eventually will
