  1. i hope so cuz that's a cool name :bounce:
  2. Uhh gotta disagree here my car's at the legal lowering limit but still doesn't look that low as it's a 4wheel drive GT. I think a lot of young guys and girls drive better than many many middle aged ppl or older out there. btw have you seen how many idiots indicate "right" when going "straight" through a round-a-bout?? there's probably even a few reading this now.. check the road code! and don't forget to indicate "left" off it. lol round-a-bouts + people = hilarious
  3. Serpae tetras are worse. Haven't had a prob with lemons
  4. albino neon tetras.. why do ppl buy these? lol sorry not my cup of tea. nice angel tho! MTS starts early
  5. try putting some mesh in front of the eggs so the parents can still see them but cannot eat them. nice fish btw assuming they're those in your avatar

    Fancy plecs

bay trader/loot? used to look in there all the time once there was even discus... there's the odd treat in there
  7. This is true... studies have shown idiots are less likely to crash into you if your lights are on all the time. The average 'lights on all the time' person has 30% less crashes i believe... some cars just have their lights on all the time automatically don't they? like some motorbikes

    Red Pine

gorgeous plant! what kind of fish would nice in front of a wall of this? cardinals? http://www.dewinters.nl/images/Rotala%20wallichii.JPG
  9. i'd get otocinclus for the algae if you can.. they stay vegetarian whereas the plecos start to enjoy the other food too as they get older. mm nice idea the dwarf gouramies are great saw some beauties at animal antics recently... bright yellow... i didn't notice the name anyone know what they're called exactly?
  10. yea it's a nice idea.. good read.. good idea rozski i got a bunch of left over mesh from my egg traps might give it a go
  11. Tornada at mount maunganui... no footage ugh! you guy see that double bed get washed up by the "house in the sea"?
  12. = IDIOTS... if you see someone with a dark car in dark conditions and no lights on just think "idiots" as that will be true. reef lol
  13. Totally agree bout black neons oh yea GREAT fish.. was gonna mention them myself.. and glowlights.. lovely combo. saw a tank once in jansens just full of about 100 black neons only.......incredible sight
  14. mmm ... be careful.. fighters can easily consume large mosquito larvae.. but they won't eat a whole neon no.. tho did i have an agro female fighter once that attacked, killed, and ate neons
  15. Actually nitrate is your friend.. use it as the nutrient limiter of algae.. the plants will be using a lot so you add just enough to meet their requirements (and not the algae). Great level of light IMO
  16. if you do and the fighter is red don't feed bloodworms as the neons will bite the fighter's fins
  17. I don't find this boring: http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/I ... 00/282.jpg (cardinal tetras and albino neons - tho not a fan of albinos you get the idea)
  18. WOW that is really really nice! true about getting enough light..... this lacks in so many "package tanks" i feel sorry for ppl as often their plants won't thrive without enough light. so i take it your bf also wired up the lights inside it? like the CO2 device. nice guppies, but you gotta end up with a bunch of cardinals in there...seriously! the hairgrass and glosso really complement each other too ay?
  19. Nice Zev! very nice. and sparkling gouramies rule anyway
  20. Rozski... loving it... very dark, green, natural, and forrest looking.. java on driftwood lovely effect. also good fish range. i was visualising 3x the cardinals in there and just cardinals.. reckon that would look stunning. few lil changes and i reckon you should enter it into a competition
  21. yea i love setting up new tanks........ love the potential eg WHOA! http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/p ... G_9223.jpg
  22. happy bday cricketman!! just saw a couple of my fish dancing but it was actually 2 females battling.. kinda weird.. not lemon tetras tho. the males look good duelling.. that black alan fin line should stand out nicely and they should be a lovely full yellow colour with brilliant red eye. get 'em breeding guys! :bounce:
  23. are you totally sure it's the tank that's leaking? I had my 4ft 300L nearly completely empty once luckily i was home and noticed i thought the tank had cracked.. turned out the airtube had come off the pump at the back and it had self-siphoned... still i was glad it was an easier fix than fixing the whole tank
  24. exactly. or buy a square 'mat' to start with that is stuck together.. it will spread out by itself... that's the best way... tho if you have clowns they'll bring some up for your great joy
