Has anyone had any experience with sexing these awesome dwarf cichlids, I have read lots online and still can't 100% sex one of mine as there is a load of conflicting information.
Definite male;
Not so definite female;
From what I have read, unlike most other apistos the female does not always look a lot different than the male as this particular species of apisto have been so over bred in captivity that some females have started to take on male characteristics.
I would like to be 100% sure that it is a female though if possible as I would like to breed them myself, it shows a lot of signs of being a female, kind of displays like a female krib does when they are in breeding mood and it is definitely the less dominant of the two.
