Thanks calculator, not sure what I will do with the offspring if many survive, I know I will be keeping quite a few as I am wanting to breed them to true super reds with full fin coloration.
I finally have a pair of cockatoos that paired up and laid eggs, the male I got from Joe and the female is one of a few I got from danval. I am not expecting for this spawn to be successful though as the female is really young still but fingers crossed she proves me wrong.

Looking good but you should not be planting the java fern in the substrate, it has a rooty bit called a rhizome that needs to be above the substrate, most people usually just tie/glue it on to rocks/ornaments or driftwood.
That doesn't include Epsom salts I think Sophia, I have heard catfish are quite sensitive with excel dosing for bba though.
I have used Epsom salts with my cories in all my tanks and never had a death.
My definition of high tech - high lights, pressurized co2, e.i. dosing and high maintenance.
I'm not sure if I would consider 2 x 54w T5HO high light on a tank that size, what sort of plants are you going to be growing?
:smot:
Scary for you but hilariously funny from someone else's viewpoint lol, I would definitely be getting on to the garage door installer and making sure they sort it out too.
