  1. I have a BB tank with rocks sitting on it and it doesn't seem to matter, saying that there is only apistos and plecos in there and none of them are big enough to knock any over or move them. What type of fish are in the tank?
  2. I would love to help out but I am not sure if I have the right qualifications/knowledge. I have nothing but time on my hands while I complete my studying, what I do have is a serious passion for this hobby/lifestyle and will always be interested in helping to keep the federation running and more importantly current.
  3. They didn't have any in stock when I was up there a couple of weeks ago Dan, just macs and cacs.
  4. DennisP, are you a member of facebook? If so join the group NZ Fishkeepers and msg Dave Evans, he has some male cockatoos for sale in Christchurch.
  5. He is using pressurized though, not diy.
  6. The inline ones will not work with diy co2, they need higher pressure than what diy can supply. You could make a reactor though if you run a canister filter or external pump? Supposedly the best diffusion method available.
  7. It does come complete with media though unlike the fx5.
  8. Just get the smaller one, I use one of these in my 450ltr and it works great. http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/f ... 727391.htm
  9. LOL all good, I googled it and a few other people spell it the same, thought it must be another type of cory I hadn't heard of haha.

I just made a spraybar for my fx5 dude, this would solve the problem of fish getting in the out flow pipes.
  11. :smot: but blueether, I have always wondered what a "Steribi" cory is? Do you mean Sterbai? This is regarding the fish listed in your sig.
  12. They have been available overseas for awhile now, only major difference that everyone says is the 10% less power usage.
  13. Wow LA, nice looking setup and :cophot:
  14. Mine all started like that Sophia then they melted and grew back like this? Not sure why?

26-27 is a bit low for clown loaches in my opinion dude, like discus they can survive in lower temps but prefer around 29-30c.

    Hi

Hey Jeff, welcome to the fishroom!
  24. You assume correct, they both prefer different temps and puffers don't like much current unlike borneos which need a lot of it.
