I would love some agassizii double red again. My male was absolutely stunning!! Anyone seen these around?
  2. My convict x JD. He had the coolest personality ever! Loved charging for his food. Sold him to someone who I believed killed him
  3. Photo update. I have 7 blue rams. Got 4 in January and 3 more a month ago. All are doing really well and forming pairs. This is one of my pairs and my 6 year old Bristlenose Spud who wanted to get in on the photo op lol Please excuse any blurriness, little suckers are busy fish!

Severums love to eat plants and JD's (thought I saw one in your photo) love to dig. Your best bet plant wise is Amazon Swords, java fern and anubias. The severum does not like the taste of these. Get large specimens if you can as they will handle a slight beating until they get established. FYI ambulia is a stem plant and far too fragile for your cichlids. Good luck!
  5. New leaves means closer to the gravel - someone's got the sword munchies :gigl:
  6. Lol Caryl yes I have a kitchen with a large bench top. Plus I don't like clutter. Ron the tank is 7 years old so well out of its warranty I think I just hope I get the tank back with no scratches on the glass like it was when I gave it to them 2 years ago.
  7. Thanks for the responses guys I know these tanks sit on their stands without poly, but was thinking it might help with vibrations from the bench from cooking etc. Like happy fish not stressed fish.
  8. I am getting my aqua one 380 tank back from a family member as they have lost interest. Although this was totally expected. I'll have no stand so was going to sit it on the kitchen bench as there's heaps of space. Should I put poly underneath? I'm thinking it might help with vibrations from the bench. Thoughts please. Cheers.
  9. Green terrors and gold saums are different species. This was proven in 2007. The real green terror is far more aggressive than the gold saums that are commonly sold now. I myself have kept gold saums and found them not that aggressive.
  10. Yes all out feeding tonight with the "pack". Also saw a teeny weeny emperor tetra baby! They did it again! Lol Hopefully a girl this time
  11. I have used Dalton's aquatic mix in a couple of planted tanks now with fine gravel and have had great success with plants. I think one thing with using sand with Dalton's that hobbyists have found is that if you have digging fish they stir up the mix and make a mess. Dalton's also lasts at least 2 years possibly 3.
  12. One of my german blue ram juveniles. Approx 2 months old and had them for 2 weeks now. And their tank:
  13. Looks great David Do like that sand. Does it look as dirty as white? I got disgusted with being unable to keep sand clean that I removed it from all my tanks ages ago. Are Altifrons available in stores at all? David what kind of angels are those?
