  1. It wouldn't be the same if it was too easy. Makes it more interesting if it's a bit more challenging! Teachers
  2. What sort of range does it have?
  3. Borderline but I'll let you away with it lol. Ions
  4. Nice flying skills :bggrn:
  5. Clowns actually prefer the warmer temps that discus are kept at.
  6. I had 17 in with my discus and they were fine.
  7. Nope that's why I recommended indian fern and not duck weed lol.
  8. Get some indian fern floating on top bro, will help suck up those extra nutrients really good.
  9. I had pressurized co2 with discus in my 450ltr and it was fine, didn't seem to effect the discus in any way even though the ph would fluctuate a whole point over a 24 hour period. I also kept dwarf chain loaches with them in the same tank and not once had an issue. If anything the corys had more of an impact everytime they shot to the surface as they do and would sometimes frighten a discus lol.
  10. Not my old one but it looks like a good one dude, mine went to Christchurch a while back.
  11. There's really no need to keep any of the old water, most of the beneficial bacteria lives in the filter and in substrate etc. Though you will have to keep the filter media wet with the old water and get it going asap. No matter what you will experience some form of a cycle again, that's what happens when a tank gets disturbed.
  12. Just marine now dude, was time for the next step lol.
  13. They sure are, pretty much all fish have a chance of jumping out of a tank if something spooks them or they're not happy with something etc. You can make a mesh screen to cover the tank if you're that worried about it which won't effect the rimless look much. Saying that though, even in a tank with a lid there have been stories of clowns still jumping through the smallest gaps.
  14. This tank is long gone, he upgraded a while back guys.
  15. I think it's an excellent idea and I can definitely see how handy it would be, especially on a large aquarium. I for one would definitely consider it on a tank over 300g. The noise level wouldn't be an issue for as David said you could easily put it in a garage or shed etc. Thanks for sharing dude.
  16. Personally I really enjoyed watching The Grey, something different than what Liam usually does. One of the better movies I've watched lately is Felon starring Steven Dorff and Val Kilmer.
