  1. Is there a reason you want a lower pH? I'm a beginner too but from what I've read, consistancy in water chemistry is much more important to fish health than having an exact reading (unless you have difficult species of fish or are trying to breed). I'd love to see a picture of your tank I'm keen on getting some sharks myself.
  2. I don't know a thing about lighting, buuut how long till your LF BN babies are up for sale?
  3. Incredibly wicked!! Can't wait to see how it turns out!
  4. Wow that's wicked! Love the scaping Can't wait to see updates :spop:
  5. I use the aqua one 300 filter and I find the guppies really enjoy the current when the water levels a tad lower than the filter It is a pain when you want the tank full though.
  6. Sorry about your boy :tears: I keep my guppies at about 28degrees, its a bit warmer than usual but I find it keeps disease away a bit better. I also find my females have babies every 3 weeks or so at that temp
  7. Wow this is such a neat set up! I want one!
  8. Yeah, they're like an orange blur  I love L140s!
  9. Cute fish look like wild types to me. You don't have any females in those pics. Everytime I've looked at the "coldwater guppies" at animates I've never seen any females so I'm not sure if they actually stock them :dunno:
  10. Yeah panic attacks are not fun Here's hoping I can convince mum to take me one of the days so I can at least visit the stand :spop:
  11. Welcome I wish I was brave enough to try marine! Maybe one day! :happy2:
  12. My favourite study tips: - Practice old exams - Go through and highlight important notes and re-write them in a fresh exercise book - And also write really important stuff (formulas, dates, names etc.) really big on A4 bright coloured paper and put them all over bedroom walls&roof to read before bed etc. :smln:
  13. Oh sweet That's the stuff I've been using. I was suprised how quickly whitespot cleared up after using it. I usually use whitespot cure but it had nowhere near as quick results!
  14. I have pretty bad social anxiety so I dunno how much good I'd be at that either :nilly:
  15. I can never tell if you're being sarcastic or not Ira
  16. I would have loved to but it's a bit far for me and I doubt I'd be much use not being able to use my right arm :nilly:
  17. I just got back from my overnight stay in hospital There was a lot more damage to my wrist than we first thought so I have a full arm cast and a bunch of pins in my arm. But I'm pretty doped out on morphine for now so all is well
  18. I read that article too, was very good. I use table salt also and havent had any problems
  19. I've never been on there but I've just had a look, is it a sister site to this one or something? :dunno:
  20. Nawww!!! Cuties!! If they're already clearly sexable and they're not fighting over food or anything, I think they'll be fine
  21. I agree! You do an amazing job Donna! It's so heartwarming to see someone caring for little critters in need
  22. I had a big room for 10 years but we moved a couple of months ago and now my room is tiny. I think it's mums way of encouraging me to move out :slfg: I'm still a newbie but being a bookworm from what I've read 6x is good and 10x is great. The more filtration the better
  23. I have too much furniture to fit even a 4ft in my room Tempted to squeeze in a 6ft though :nilly:
