  1. I can't really tell, it seems to only be where there are peices missing so maybe that means they are growing? :nilly: Hope so!
  2. Not looking as good today :tears: No new rips in fins but a few have started to get a bit white around the tips. I did a 50% water change but I don't know what else to do. We're moving house on Friday too so I'm really hoping the additional stress won't send them over the edge. At least I've learnt my lesson to never trust a fighter again :an!gry
  3. yeah I've been looking at pics of hers !drool: I'd never seen colours other than red, blue and turquoise before
  4. Anything I can't get of trademe I look for at hollywood or animates (the later being much much easier to get to). I can never resist if they have a particulary pretty betta or guppy in!
  5. I just moved within walking distance of animates botany does not help matters!
  6. Don't even have my full yet  Not that I'd have a car to drive lol. Gotta love being 18 and broke!
  7. Might look into it I have a broken wrist at the moment so I can't drive anywhere
  8. Thanks guys! I'll be sure to keep up the water changes. Just guttered that my favourite dragon head seemed to get the worst beating! (Living so close to animates is not helping this new fish addiction) :slfg:
  9. Fighter has his own 24L tank now so all is well :happy2: Put all the male guppies back together and they seem to be doing fine. Added a bit of stress coat to the tank to help things along. I feed my fighter aqua one tropical fish flakes but I have to crush them up or else he spits it back out like you described. My fighter I had before him did that too. I'm gonna look into some special betta food for him as soon as I get paid on Thursday
  10. Not sure if I'm posting this in the right section or not, but over the weekend I added 2 male guppies and a Betta to my 60L tank (previous ocupants were 6 male guppies and a baby GBA). All seemed to be going well and they were all happy but the next day when I went to check on them, all the guppies had big chuncks out of their gorgeous tails!! At first I thought the fighter must have done it (My previous fighter was very peacefull but I had been warned some are more agressive than others), but then I saw the guppies swimming aroung nipping at each other. I've since tryed isolating the largest guppies and the fighter and there's been no more missing bits of fins! I'm still not sure who the culprit was but I'm devistated about my beautiful guppies tails being ruined. &c:ry What can I do to help them heal? How long will it take? Has anyone had there male guppies fight before or would you say it was the betta? :dunno: Thanks!
  11. Ahhh! Your tank is so awesome!!! !drool: I can't wait till I have some babies to sell so I can start making money to upgrade to a large planted tank like yours I'm in love with your long finned golden bristlenose! She's gorgeous!
  12. Thanks, will try firefox now :happy2: edit: woohoo!! success!!! :happy1:

    Hi all!

Hi all! No idea why it took me so long to come across this forum  but I'm here now so all is well! I got my first tank (a 28L aqua one) only 6 months ago and have quickly become addicted to the hobby and upgraded several times already! Looking forward to learning heaps more and meeting everyone Also, for some reason I'm unable to view pictures on here, they just come up as small orange squares :tears: any ideas on fixing this?
