I feel your pain mcrudd! The medication I have to be on makes me put on weight like crazy, and on top of that I've had 4 surgeries (another one next month) in the last year or so, so have had limited exercise. :facepalm: It's a massive confidence downer :tears:

I think a fish show would be a great idea :happy2:

Yeah there's 4 that look greyish and 4 that are more yellow/gold, will be interesting to see how they turn out. Its just a 24L so it probably doesnt need as many waterchanges as Im giving for 8 fry but oh well, I always make sure the new water is the same temp and parameters as the tank water. This is my practice run for raising my albino fry that are due soon :lol:

I was given the mamma already pregnant so I'm not sure who the dad is, she's very pretty though, a neon yellow

Thanks everyone, it's so exciting Here's some pics of them now at 2 days old. They're growing super fast! I've been feeding 5 times a day and doing a 25% water change once a day - sometimes twice. Water's crystal clear and they're all very active with big appetites so much be doing something right :happy2:

When mine started looking dangerously big I did a large waterchange (about 70%) in the evening and turned the lights off. I woke up the next morning and she'd dropped :happy2: I'm not sure if it was the waterchange or just her time but either way its worth a shot! Also make sure she's had plenty to eat, that way she's less likely to try and eat her fry.

Today I learnt that my little Golden Ram is quite the little character! I sat in front of my tank this morning for about an hour getting some shots of her, and she came right up to the glass and just stared at me, making it pretty hard to get some nice photos of her. Just wondering if anyone else has a favourite/particular fish with funny antics? Well done! :rotf: The amount of times I've done that at work with a dodgy hose fitting is embarrasing! Today I had my first guppy babies :love: Cleaned the pool. Got a stunning Gold Ram for my big tank, aaand emptied out one of my smaller tanks so that I can move it into my room tomorrow (did I mention my bedroom is slowing becoming a fish room?). Also plan on doing something nicer with my 2ft tank which currently looks a little sad with nothing but silica sand in it :lol: And as I was typing this I noticed my albino SS girl looking like she's about to drop Ran and grabbed the breeding net and popped her in so any babies will at least be safe from the filter and dads mouth :happy2:
