  1. I don't know how to tell the difference and its my day off so I can't check. She's in with either the danios or the platties - I can't remember which  When you come in ask to see Georgia and I'll find her for you
  2. I work at animates botany and today we got a nice white female with light blue fins. Dunno if that would work for you but thought I'd let ya know
  3. I'll have the money in my bank account on Wednesday and hopefully a tank to put them in soon :happy1:
  4. Off to work :yaw2: *sigh*
  5. My dog became resistant to advantage so I switched to revolution and he was fine. I hear a lot about animals becoming resistant to different solutions. If you change brand every year or so you should be sweet Hope kitty's feeling better soon!
  6. Its my Saturday so I have today and tomorrow off work :happy2:
  7. I wish I could come, but I'm working all weekend! &c:ry Looking foreward to seeing plenty of pictures though! :happy2:
  8. Have you tried adding nothing but water ager and doing 20% water changes every second day? Adding different things all the time will send your PH etc out of wack. The best thing you can do for your fish is give them consistancy in water quality to recover. Give them a week or two doing that and I bet they'll be looking much better
  9. There's a premium food called "K9 Natural" Its a raw diet thats freezed dried and you reconstitute before you feed. Its great stuff and at animates if they dont like it they give you your money back!
  10. I'd go for some danios, they're great for filling the top area of the tank
  11. Very true! Are they difficult to sex?
  12. Yeah it'd be a strech. What about my other tank? I could swap the inhabbitants around - that way its already cycled etc and its 165L - should be alright for 3 discus?
  13. Addict :rotf: Ooooh embers! I like that idea! !drool: Joe's ones are awesome! Started a thread so any more ideas post em there: http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=54429 :happy2:
  14. Thanks guys  I'm not too worried about temp as my other tank is running at 30 degrees all the time to keep whitespot at bay - they plants are doing really well even with the light not being too high. I'll have to check the dimentions and lighting specs when I pick it up tomorrow. I'd be happy with 3 discus, a few livebarers for live food, some cories and a bunch of penguin tetras. All up my tanks get about 50% a week for water changes, is that okay? I'd be buying the fish from work so they'd be almost full grown - I've heard growing them out is quite a mission.
  15. Thanks guys! I'm thrilled to bits with it  The twisted val has gone nuts! I've had to prune it so many times! The background is just a paper backing one. I really need to get some cories in there!
  16. Just bought a 180L tank from work and thinking of setting it up as a heavily planted Discus tank. How many could I keep in there and what do they need aside from the higher than usual temp? Any other ideas or suggestions/pictures welcome :spop:
  17. Here's how the tanks coming along :happy2:

  19. I maaaay have just brought a 180L from work  I'm not earning any money working at animates! :rotf:
