  1. Hello everyone, Yesterday I discovered my first bunch of little Krib fry. Very excited I was! :happy1: :happy2: Its so awesome watching the parents taking them out on little trips around the tank. My questions are :dunno: ; I have had different bits of advise regarding moving fry out of the tank and so on. The parents seem to be doing such a great job. But is there a stage when they will start eating them? When do they start going on parent free trips? How long does it take them to grow? And how long will it take before the parents spawn again...? Lots of questions, sorry. But any advice, tips, ideas, previous experiences :sage:, much appreciated  . Cheers Rebecca
  2. Have an AR980. Medium Planted 8 Female Guppies 1 Male Guppy (Know i need more) 2 Female Platies (One Wagtail one plain) 1 Baby Platy 1 Male Platy 5 Minnows 8 Albino Cories. The top of the aquarium is very bare All the fish are mid to bottom dwellers. What can you suggest for me to get to make the top more entertaining/pretty. FYI its 215 liters Cheers
  3. I've got a very very gavid female, but i cant seem to get here to lay. Any tips?
  4. can someone post a pick on here of a tank they have sumpd please?
  5. you know i'm not 100% sure either, although i'd say around the year mark sounds good and seems close enough in my experience
  6. K so sorry about this. Am a complete dumb nut about sumps. My Questions is What is a sump??? Is a sump just a small tank that is used to filter the display tank water? When is it needed???? What size display tank would you sump?
  7. so they hatched on saturday 100 or so. on Monday all dead. I did go away for the weekend, but left someone else to care for them, but they dont know anything about these fish so i just gaving feeding instructions and thats all. They were all fungused when i saw them....
  8. My albinos laid again today, not quite as many as last time. But some anti fungus stuff in the tank that i moved them to this time. And managed to roll them off the glass in one tank and onto the glass in the other tank - well most anyways. So hopefully see a decent amount of them hatch in 5 or so days....
  9. sorry thats right they are corys i did have them in a tank with an airstone and some how they ended up under and stuck to the airstone and thats how they fungused. I do have males and females whom i have raised fry from before. It just so gutting when this happens and wondered what i could do to help it from not happening before. thanks for all your suggestions. Hope to have some eggs again soon.
  10. So on Sunday (last) my albinos had about 40 eggs, and as i have done in the past i transfered the eggs to another tank which has decent airation and filtration. they seemed to be doing really well till about three days into it i checked them again and they had all stuff to the airstone and fungus. :tears: &c:ry Any ideas to stop them from happening next time. Cheers
  11. Unfortunately i couldn't make this meeting. Ended up in Hosp.... Out and feeling much better now. Can those who did attend full me in on points of business and anything else interesting? On another note, been enjoying watching my ablino corys breeding and laying this afternoon. :happy1: :happy2: Cheers
  12. My coris are getting it on!!! I've never seen them do it before. I've seen the eggs on the glass but i've never seen a female cori with eggs in her back fins before. Its so cool to watch. and they just keep on going too. its fascinating!
