  6. Cool  so all I need is an adaptor? Getting pretty close only 4 days :happy2:
  7. Hi All I was wondering if anybody could explain to me about these different voltages, hertz of electronics? I was looking at buying a few electrical goods over there, but most of the use a different power socket to NZ. So you can buy the adapter ect. But what this transformer that I may need to buy? So I understand SG is 230V and so is NZ and SG is 50 hertz. So what is the hertz in NZ? and does it affect the usage? Cheers
  8. That grew quick. Is it hard to keep it humid in there? Or do you just let it do whatever?

  11. Flakes of wood? Doesn't sound very safe. Got a picture?
  12. Is it a dark brown colored wood? I have some from a different pet shop, I boiled, scrubbed, soaked, waterblasted and then reboiled and then added it. It leached a lot of tannins in the first few days. I probably overkilled cleaning it though I'd boil, soak and then scrub and you should be fine.
  13. To my understanding they only absorb nitrates.
  14. Oh the Monterey bay aquarium was quite cool. Pretty massive.
  15. Definitely, the grand canyon was amazing. They were building the viewing platform when we where there. Las Vegas was great too.
  16. Knottsberry farm? Depends if you have a car, San Diego and San Francisco are really cool.
  17. :nfs: how long are your acracidia bulbs? And what percentage? They are expensive at 60cm ($66 ea) so I wouldn't like to know the cost of a 6' one
  18. What about a dwarf sag carpet? Would grow pretty quick, and has that nice bright green look.

Well if you haven't fixed the fault, of course they can. They are quite intelligent.
  20. Hi all Just went into the LFS and he's got a quote for a steel stand with a wooden exterior. It's about $750 which I think is reasonable vs a $900 stand that mum wanted to get from a place in Taupo which is just wood with no steel frame. I'll give Port Nichilson glass a call later to double check the price. But what price range have other people paid for a large steel stand? (the tank is 170x55x58 and I want the stand 170.5x55.5x52) Thanks
  21. I've found a few on the front page.
  22. If it doesn't have a prime button, suck on the out tube until the canister is completely full and then plug it in and it should work.
  23. Cheesy ones? Most fish eat mozzy larvae
