Ours look different - different whitebait in different areas - bit still pretty. Ours are pale cream and bluey/green and catch the light beautifully. We had 8 of them - all called called Patty. :lol:

My understanding is it is contagious, but not very and usually only if you are overstocked. I had one fish with dropsy. Never saw it in others and never had another one with it since.

Quite possible, or will know someone travelling down I need plants for my ponds but need to wait until spring stock comes in.

If a fish is bloated the side scales do stick out a bit as the belly swells. If it is dropsy, the scales stick out all over. Look down on it from above and see if it looks like a pinecone - that's dropsy. Here is a fish with dropsy

Lots of plants, low stocking levels and rigorous weekly water changes and you do not need a pump or filter.

You're welcome. Daughter in law Dena was able to get it small enough. I could only get it down to 10.3kb and not the required 8kb or less.

I have LOTS of electric yellow fry if you want some More is better with the Malawis as it does cut down serious fights

Plus it is difficult to re-seal a repaired heaterstat. Much safer, and cheaper, to buy another.

The competitions mentioned under Gallery (and not being utilised at the moment) are for FNZAS members only. This means you must belong to an affiliated FNZAS club to be eligible. A new feature that I, for one, keep forgetting is there :oops: ) If you just want a general album to show off your pictures, try a site like www.photobucket.com.
