bettan fry

ok I qwas wondering how are the fry suppose to act when you feed them?Im going to feed them egg yolk for the first week then switch to daphnia when they get big enough to eat it but im not sure how to know if they are eating it when i feed it do they swarm it? or do they allow it to settle a bottom of tank then eat?

ya the female was removed after spawning was complete I have them in a 10 gal tank that I set up as a spawning tank it has a 25 w heater few plants and a pen plax mini sponge filter that runs off air. the water depth is 5-6 inches.

Ok on sunday my red female crown tail and red male crowntail spawned this is my 1st successful spawn it is now tuesday and the eggs are hatched it funny watching the male catch them as they fall out of the nest hes a busy worker but hes doin great . I bought some frozen daphnia cubes and was wondering how much of the cube should I feed at a time I dont want to over feed and im not sure how much daphnia is in those cubes so if any one might know would be great.

Ok my question is I have 2 female bettas full of eggs and need to know if I dont breed them soon will they be ok or do they need to breed in order to release I have a pic of one of my females ill try to upload it my other female is same size in the egg tube.ok nevermind on pic cant figure it out lol.

Ok im not sure whats going on but I woke up this morning and her belly is back to normal although I did notice that she did her buisness 4 times b4 i went to bed while she was in the net breeder so she may have been constipated I dont know just hard for me to imagine her belly getting that big from constipation.I know this much no fry in the breeder so either she was constipated or ate all the fry.

Ok i looked at my swordtail and her belly is twice the size as yesterday so im positive shes pregnant. I put her in a net breeder but other than this have no clue what to do what to feed the fry etc can someone help?

Im looking for external canister filters everything ive read on this Odyssea CSf4 sounds good they say its cheaper in price than fluval and eheim but does same performance and at 60 dollars including shipping for a canister filter that does 320 gph and has 4 stage filtration sounds as if this may be a great alternantive to both fluval and eheim so im gonna try it see what happens at most ill be out 60 bucks.

Ok im Looking for a good canister filter that wont drain my wallet lol.I have read somethings on the odeyssea CFS4 canister and sounds good ill be using it for a 90 gal tank im aquiring.If any one has experience or has one of these filters would love to hear your comments on it b4 buying one.

I have a 29 gal I feed once in the morning b4 work and once around 5pm and my tank has been set up for about 8 weeks now

No no drift wood my tank just has plastic plants gravel a ceramic rock cave from walmart thats it this is why im confused.

Ok last week I had 2 angels die on me when i checked my ammonia and nitrate and nitrite levels my ammonia and nitrate levels were high so i did a 75% water change and it helped alot and since have been doing 25% water changes every 3 days my levels have been fine i even added a parasite medication after the 75% change well this week i have lost 5 sword tails and 1 cory cat and i cant figure why all levels are good and they looked healthy but then i either wake up or get home from work and I have a dead fish they dont look beat up they just died I currently have 1 sword tail 2 cory cats 4 bala sharks 6 zebra danios and 5 gold danios left and they look healthy as can be but im afraid I may have a silent killer please help any suggestions would help.

Ok I have done everything step by step according to info on bettatalk.com Currently me female is in the chimney glass and male hard at work on the nest I noticed my female has red and yellow vertical stripes and her colors have gotten real dark,is this normal i thought the vert stripes were suppose to be a dinged color of female not a diff color?my female is originally green/blue irodecent,Why the red yellow vert stripes?

Ok my female and male betta have been in a 10 gal tank filled with 6 inchs of water depth for better part of 24 hours.I introduced the male to the tank first as i was told to do i put the female in the tank but kept her in a breeding net so she can get use to the tank and the male. The temp in the tank is 80-81 F, I didnt release her into the tank untill 24 hours at this time she had her vertical stripes and the male had a very nice bubble nest But like i said it has been 24 hours now she has been under the nest 3 times now but when he goes to make a move she takes off and he chases her he also will swim to her than b4 gettin to her flares gills and goes to nest ( He will do this 5 to 6 times then chases her around).She has tears in her anal and abdomin fins should i be concered that it has been so long or should i stick it out for little longer or is there something im doing wrong here?Also since she has been introduced to tank and him neither have eaten is that normal? confused someone please help. I post this in wrong area thats why i reposted here srry.
