  1. A man on national radio said the church opposide the radio building had collapsed but I don't know where their building is :-? Worried about Gareth and Dena too.He will have been evacuated as he works in the family court building. Because it is shallower and closer to the city they are saying the damage is worse than the first quake

    Eggs

I like eggs, but not that much. I then got sidetracked listening to the equally dreadful (but luckily very short) waffle song, carrot song, potato song and something else that I can no longer remember thank goodness! :-?
  3. You wouldn't like jellyfish then Joe  When we were on Lantau Island we had a lovely pasta dish which we thought had mushrooms in it - until we bit into one and wondered why it was rather rubbery and tasted fishy (and then realised it also had little tentacles)  Should be someone in chat around 7.30 tonight.
  4. Pawesome Pets is OK but many pets don't have paws so people may think you only sell cats and dogs :-?
  5. It is readily available on the side of the road in many places down here but suspect landscapers would be your best bet up there.
  6. Good on the two of you. I hope the money will be used to help finance your attendance at conference

    Fay's Reef Tank

How do you drag yourself away from it?? I love the cabinet too. So many wooden ones have a high lid that, to me, overwhelms the actual tank.
  8. I suspect the quake may have shaken loose stuff in the pipes or something and this affected the water quality for a time.
  9. Been there listened (and downloaded) to that thank you :bounce: 8)
  10. I have only seen one or two white butterflies around here and the cicadas seem to be about the usual noise level. Not seen any skinks either but I suspect that is a northern thing 8)
  11. It's been years since I read that. I think I still have the books here though. My first of the fantasy genre were the David Eddings Belgariad and Malloreon series. Terry Goodkind is now on my list next time I go to the library. Perhaps he will add to my favourite Terrys - Brooks and Pratchett
  12. I got bored with the TV series but will try the books. My preferred media anyway
  13. Arrange a get-together then advertise it locally in malls, supermarkets, any bulletin boards you can find, lfs, schools etc. Got a local freebie paper? Ring them and ask them to do an article about you wanting to start a fish club.
  14. Meeting tonight, 7.30pm Stoke Hall. A BBC Planet Earth film is being shown. All welcome.
  15. So Legend of the Seeker is based on the Terry Goodkind books? I have not watched Seeker on TV (my dad loves it) nor read any of his books. Perhaps I will try one myself.
  16. Nothing wrong with that at all Joe, I just wondered if you had some interesting new fish or pants in mind that required a pH out of the normal range The meters need to be regularly calibrated too I think and I don't know what that involves.
  17. It is a long drive to make with one so newly hatched. A pity though as I am sure it is going to be a very interesting weekend. I know the club has put a lot of thought, work and effort into it. :bounce:
  18. Why do you want to be able to test such a wide range?
  19. At that stage you might appreciate a weekend break Seriously, you are quite right and you have other priorities. Perhaps next year??? I think it will be in Hamilton then.
