what is it with drivers in your area Liam?
  4. Exciting news from FryLand today :bounce: First of all, the 4 or 5 CPD wrigglers were actually 7 so there must have been some eggs in the grub I put in the box with them. Then I caught another in the tank and saw 2 more. Also, it was raining so we filled up the rain barrels and because I couldn't wait for it to settle, I poured some off straight away and set aside 2 buckets of fresh for water changes. When I went to use the water I found it was teeming with minifish mouth-sized bloodworm wrigglers. :nilly: So now all my fish have had some fresh bloodworms, and all the minifish have had some new soft water.

  10. it looks almost purple red under the light, better change the title :bggrn: I think this came from a seed that Neon gave me yonks ago and I just dropped it in the tank :lar: I thought those things needed fancy lighting :dunno:
  11. Today I found my first ever flower on a crypt, or just about any other aquatic plant for that matter. I feel like some kind of aquatic plant queen now, but in reality this is the crypt that reappeared 2 or 3 years after it disappeared and has been growing at a fast rate :happy1: I was thinking of a) rescaping and therefore moving this, and in the process b) doing a blackout to get the hair algae again and c) changing one of the bulbs from 14000k to 6500k - I take it that I should now wait till it's finished flowering or I risk the flower dissolving?

  15. I thought I had 2 cherry barb fry but they turned out to be CPDs, I am very excited about that. So now I have 2 mature fry, and have salvaged about 4 or 5 very new ones from the water change water. There is another that escaped the siphon who is hiding among the moss too. :happy2:
