Try leaving the salt out for a while, the cats might not be able to tolerate it along with the other things going on. Normally it's not recommended to have salt and catfish together as the ones without scales are affected by it.

When I was overdosing excel to treat algae my fish weren't gasping, they were sitting on the bottom with their fins clamped and gills working like crazy. Only a big water change improved them.

I like to take photos in the beginning before the algae starts :gigl: I'm hoping that the java fern in the middle will spread sideways a bit. -

Here it is. I have 2 filters in here to improve the water flow in the corners, but I have been careful not to create a washing machine. 6 ember tetra 1 dwarf honey gourami 6 remaining mosquito rasbora 1 CPD juvenile Planted video -
Time for an update: new occupant - Li@m the peppered cory, yes he has a bung eye but no he doesn't seem to mind... still got 4 loaches, 3 loxozus cories, 2 mature peppered cories and 3 younger ones, 2 otos. Also got - blue green algae in places... still too much light on this tank. Video below
