    The What's Up? thread.

see, Disgustipated you make my life difficult with your choice of words up there I think 'whore' is vulgar and should be chopped. It really isn't a nice word and if a woman wants to do that then she doesn't need to be disrespected for it. If you were me what would you replace that word with so your post remained intact? Woman of the Night? :digH: Down with borderline words! :an!gry

Please rememeber that an implied swearword is still a swearword according to the forum rules, hence your post getting edited. The idea is to not swear, not just to replace letters with exclamation marks. it isn't that hard :fshi:

  7. Golden panchax killiefish will eat anything that fits in its mouth even though it's a reasonably small fish itself - it can enlarge it's mouth alot. It would scarf guppy fry with extreme predjudice.
  8. looks good any shrimp left?
  9. wouldn't you rather watch your trains racing around the track? :dnc1:
  10. would the little fish come out of hiding with all those big fish around? I suspect they would spend a lot of time hiding under whatever cover was available.

    Backgrounds

We painted one tank with a brush and it took 2 thick-ish coats to remove the brush marks, you couldn't see them at all after that. After that we used a light roller and needed much less paint but still had to use about 4 coats to get it all nice and evenly covered. It took about the same amount of time to dry as 2 thicks coats with the brush. I know this because I was watching paint dry. :sml2: Paint used was interior acrylic - Dulux selwyn blue shade.

  14. Absolute minimum, like 10% or less if you are going to follow the philosophy to the letter. Have a read through the algae vs ferts vs light thread in here and see Jennifer's advice to me in particular. I have low lighted times and low light plants, the hair algae in my planted tank was at its least when I changed little or no water. You will pretty much just have to wait till everything has settled in and experiment and see what likes to grow under the conditions you provide and how to combat any algae that starts to compete with the plants. Low light can mean slow growing plants meaning that nutrients are left in the water column for the algae to chomp on.

  17. We had a Dlink modem that was the original one with our first internet connection, maybe 8-10 years old or older. It's taken this long but the power cord started to come away from the plug so we took advantage of an offer of a free ADSL2+ from Telecom. New modem is in and working and now I'm wondering - should I expect the loading of webpages and uploading things to Youtube etc to take less time? We have long been on an ADSL2+ capable line but I thought that the upgraded modem might increase the overall speed. :dunno:
  18. your garage looks like Caryl's. Her husband couldn't bear to throw out all his stuff so she had to build a bigger space :rolfl:
