    Oh dear..

So none of the nets in the picture were used in the time that you were there?

    Oh dear..

+1 Or a customer was being a pain and would not wait till they person had a tidy up before they demanded service. Did you hang around long enough to see them put the nets in to a steriliser (solution of some kind) or did you just take a photo and run off to the forum to try making them look bad?
  3. Thanks for the link. I have been wanting something to calculate hexi volumes. I know I could work it all out but having something like this makes life easier
  4. Congratulations Where are you going to be working?
  5. They should have 3 in their tank. If you ask for Lez he will show you what the look like if you need the help to find them.
  6. You can put a bit of air line in to the outlet pipe and have it so that it suck air in through there (no pump needed) like a lot of the internal filters have. If you use the irrigation connecters to attach the hose that have on side that is longer than the other so work well as long as the long side is the one that the water hits and the short side facing the tank.
  7. Or if you want T5 bulbs: http://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/lighting_ ... &orderby=1 http://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/lighting_ ... &orderby=1 If you get one of these + plank of wood + switch + extention cord you can have a 4 foot light hood for well under $100
  8. Ours is a strange we boy. He likes his belly scratched and is well enough trained that he dose not use his claws when he is playing with you no matter how aggressive he gets. He would have to be one of the most relaxed cats ever.
  9. Sorry someone had to say it
  10. It is because they get bristles on their nose when they get older
  11. Is the prawn farm in Taupo aloud to sell you live prawns?
  12. Tania & I will be there for the Thursday. It will be good to be able to have a couple of drinks at work then walk down there.
  13. Tie some fishing line to your weights and then use that to pull them out
  14. I use them too. After they have been in there for a wile they sink so by the time the BN gets to them they dont float any more. You will have to let me know if yours like it
  15. If you drill a hole in the cucumber and fill the hole up with bloodworms. You then put the algae wafer in the hole to stop them comming back out. That way as the BN eats he gets a nice little suprise when he gets to the middle
  16. We thought she had dies about 5 months ago and then the when the tank got its annual clean I found her under a log. Just goes to show what overfeeding with good food does they do like their meat/veg combo. We feed them courgette with a hole drilled in it so I can pack sinking tablets, bloodworms, trout granules, pleco logs & daphnia into it
  17. We have a monster in one of your tanks. She is just over 11cm nose to tail. I have a pic somewhere I will try to find it tonight
  18. He just a little bit smaller than one of my girls
  19. Tropicals are easy and the water in Wellie (newlands) is really good. We just put it strait from the tap in to the tank and dont add anything and the fish are fine
  20. You could get a couple of little 20L tanks for them so they have a bit more room
  21. They do look nice but they look very small. What size are these guys?
  22. I have the 120L one and we done use any carbon in it. Just put the rest of the stuff in there and a little filter wool on the top to catch the chunks. I change the wool when the flow rate drops. The sponges and stuff got changed for the first time a little wile ago. It lasted a year with no problems and all the water tests have always been fine
  23. Have a look through these and see if you can find a good one http://www.cat-dog-names.com/page/category/32/
