  1. I thought they found that the saw dust had more/equal nutrition than the burgers... On second thoughts the burgers were always made from sawdust so adding more would just make the burgers bigger
  2. That is what the label says It used to have a warning on it.. "Excessive consumption may cause injury of DEATH. Please drink responsibly" the death was actually in caps
  3. I also found this story on NZherald about it
  4. It is quoted on the bottle as 72.5%, 85% or 89.9% Alc Vol and the "standard drink" says it is 5.9 drinks per shot for the 89.9% so it is a bit more than whiskey
  5. Are you sure the stuff spread around the tank is eggs?
  6. I am thinking in the filter and then through the impellor so there will be lots of little bits of fish
  7. You could cheat and just cover it with top soil and put some grass seed out to hold the dirt there. It is easier to cover it than it is to dig a hole
  8. I am not sure of the price but you get them from anyone that sells the HRV system. I know the ones for DVS are cheap so would guess that HRV would be under $20 but am not sure of the exact price
  9. They are very good at keeping the house a constant temp and they do drop the humidity (because the air in the roof is dryer) As for looking after it you will need to change the filter on them every year. This is easy to do. All you do is take the big sock (looks like filter wool) off and put a new one on.
  10. There is a product called "snail rid" it seems to work (kills most of them) but we have far to many snails for it to kill all of them unfortunatly
  11. At the moment we are using random sized (from 120L down to 10L) tanks for them but buying lots of all in one tanks gets a bit pricy after a wile and we are running out of space
  12. We will NEED pictures once you have it (the tank not the quote)
  13. Both are a good size just make sure that there is enough current in each tank. I would personally go with the 7.5L option because you could use it for breeding as well as the fish.
  14. They are (as said above) from plants you get at your LFS. There are some shops that can guarantee you that they have no snails but that is only shops that have no snails in the store
  15. You could dran the dank and dry it out but that would be a lot of work and would stink of dead snails by the time you went back to work
  16. Bulb is acceptiable in some cases but in theis case you will find that "tube" is the only option as thay are t8 and I have never seen "T8 lamps" in NZ
  17. You can never over filter. The only thing to watch is how much current there is and if that would be too much for your fish to swim against
  18. You can have more that one filter on the bigger tank. If you do have 2 filters on the bigger one all the time it makes it easier to get another tank because you just take one of the filters off and put in in the new tank when you set ut up and then you dont need to cycle it because the filter is already cycled
  19. Have you searched for it. There was a conversation on here not long ago about sand in Wellie
  20. It is really really good in coffee!!!
  21. Her you say  Nice tank Sam
  22. If you are so concerned about it say who the second person is and there it is all on an even playing field. Unless it is someone that a lot of people dont like because that would get them less votes. I personally did not see the comp till it was pointed out to me and that is all I took it as. I looked at both tanks and voted in the one I thought took the most skill and looked best
  23. What we do is run 2 heaters in the tank. For a 180L tank we use 2 100w heaters so that they heat the tank together but are not strong enough to over heat it alone
  24. You need on of these. The cost has to be less than a tank of fish
