  1. They are the same company. They are both owned by the same people and the depot in Whangarei is the same depot for both companies
  2. Rather than having a pump in that sump do many people have a sump and use a canister filter to pump the water back in to the tank?
  3. I don’t know about feeding unless you take a small child with you for the lions I normally have a talk to the birds and give them a scratch but you have to be careful because the zoo keepers don’t like you sticking your fingers in the cage and some of the birds might want to keep your finger
  4. Hopefully it doesn’t stink too much. All the ones I have seen have always still had decomposing snail in them and they were very potent on the nose
  5. It is a Kauri snail. There are lots of them in the bush out round Crane road & 3 Mile Bush road
  6. Sorry to hear about the loss. That is the reasion the shed is locked and then there s a dead bolt on the fish room door. I would like to have a security system like Mel has to protect her fish Nothing like a couple of big scary dogs to keep the fish theives away.
  7. If you cut the skirting and put it in there you parents would not be able to see anything because it would be hidden and then it would fit
  8. I just call them split tail
  9. It is a free service. Normally the bank will pay the funeral and undertakes costs on your behalf and they no not charge you to do it
  10. Which bank are you dealing with? I may be able to shed some light on your situiation for example my work askes for: Details of deceased customer – Full name, access number, last residential address Name of person notifying Address of person notifying Contact number for the person notifying Convenient/best time to call Their relationship to the deceased The signature of the beneficiary if they are the person who has notified Kiwibank Photocopy any documents provided (Death certificate, probate, will, identification for the notifying party) Once we have the details a team look in to the request and send you a letter (normally after approx 3 days) to advise you if we need further infomation or askinG what you want done with the funds
  11. I am assuming that the accounts have over $11k in them. If you have a copy of the death cert and will showing that you are the person alloud to deal with the accounts they will be able to help you
  12. I would be so happy if they have got some but wont be getting my hopes up untill they actuall arive in the shops
  13. I have the same plant. I have no ides of the name but I just break off the stem and stick it back in the sand and away it goes again.
  14. Be careful when doing that. You dont know what has been put in the bottle and you may kill all of your fish by introducing hydrocarbons to the tank. A lot of things like petrol soak in to plastic and do not smell when cleaned but over time they release the chemicals and will kill your fish
  15. One big thing in that is "Significant financial hardship includes if you're: unable to meet minimum living expenses " you also need to: "show that reasonable alternative sources of funding have been explored & complete a statutory declaration about your assets and liabilities & provide other documents or information to support your application. Reasonable alternative includes selling your Wii & your tanks. Having a house with a pool is not covered under minimum living expences

You could get a clear tube for him. They think that they are hidden but you can see through it. Another option is to lean a bit of wood up against the front glass and he will hide from the other fish but you will see him all the time
  17. $175 each is a lot when you could be paying $75 each ($150 for a couple in a flat). By my calculation that is $100 less a week and $5200 less a year that would cover the extra gas used to get to your work. As for moving costs you would be getting a chunk of the bond back that will cover the move and cleaning with enough left over to cover the bond on the new place
  18. In a student flat down here you should not be paying any more that $150 including expences. We have a 3 bedroom place in Newlands that costs $400pw and we charge our flatmate $150 including 50G cable internet, sky tv, phone & power. We dont conserve power and the dryer is the only way clothes are dried (too lazy to hang it out)
  19. Well said. I think there were a few of us thinking that but not wanting to be the first to say it
  20. You could always sell a tank or 2 to cover the short fall if it is only going to be a month or 2 untill you are back on your feet. Just remember not to try and get $$$ for something that is only worth $$. You will need to sell them cheap to get cash quick but if that is what is needed then it might be the best option
  21. Is it a good idea to both be at uni or would it be best for one of you to be working until the other one has finished then the other one could study. That would mean that you are on a single income for a longer time but you would have a higher income until you can actually aford to both be at uni and have a life at the same time
  22. Try Allied they do building labour and if he is a good worker they will find him regular work. It is a minimum wage job but it is a job and he can work up until he starts studying
  23. He could get a temp job at somewhere like allied work force
