Getting my breeding setup this friday hopefully I'll be able to raise aome fry - got those decap brineshrimp eggs to try out (thanks to Kiwiplymouth) Olly - did you have to separate your male? are wrigglers quite dark in colour or white-ish?

hahaha - we got a pretty intense BBQ with the purchase of the house (once again Amy's mum haggled with the real estate agent and got the BBQ included with the house purchase) and we're just itching to try it out lol

the eggs were gone this morning..the male looks pretty dam fat i'm guessing he was the one who ate it all I'll be moving them soon into a tank of their own - looking forward to a new tank now thanks to Peter from Port Nicholsons Will a sponge filter be sufficient in a bare bottom tank with a few mini potted plants?

I remember my parents buying a $4000 lounge suite with cash then mum somehow bartered the manager to throw in 4 bar stools at RRP$100 each instead of an actual discount on the suite...lol

After deciding to do a 50% water change without adding any hot water to give the fish a bit of relief from the hot weather - I guess I triggered a spawn. Couldn't find my female for all day today and started to worry...until I found her guarding the right side of the pot infront of the Christmas Moss..then found a small patch of eggs here's the proud dad doing the bachelor thing now strutting around the tank.

Xmas day itself is always fun - Dave's got a large family, last Xmas I ended up having three xmas dinners lol...last year we got all our prezzies from Aussie in Nov so by Dec we had recovered but not so organised this year PLUS unexpected vet bills

Dave and I thought we had our finances all sorted for Christmas prezzies this year until we went to see get his Bearded Dragon enclosure made..that wasn't even the bad part because we got a decent deal on a 1.5m tank plus wooden stand and hood then I decided that I wanted another tank...a 3footer in my room with a stand and hood..lol so now noone's getting presents

you should seriously look into buying a 3foot L x 2foot W x 2foot H, doesn't cost that much if you go to a glazier and get it made and you'd only need one of those cheap sponge filters that works off your air pump. You'd make the money back easily enough on it when you sell off your Discus juvies -

wow congrats Tracy!!! Mine have set up home in the corner of Christmas Moss and a terracotta pot - he chases every fish away especially the loaches but I haven't seen any eggs yet - what colour are they usually? -

what about tinted glass dividers into your existing tank? -
you got to be careful with double dosing Excell sometimes, heard of a few stories of expensive fish dying within half an hour from too much Excell..
