I didnt think of bunnings, il check them out and see what they got. Do the heat bulbs have to be infared or can they be radiant? I have just noticed on the exo-terra bulbs that they are infared. Il also try my luck at a electrical store and see what they have, they usually dont like one off customers though, they like their sparky customers haha

could it be cotton-mouth/flexibacter columnaris? Do you have symptons on your fish like - white spots on mouth and edges of scales + fins - fungus usually takes over the infected skin. If it is then : Change water, vacuum gravel, add aquarium salt, treat with copper sulfate or antibiotic (stop using carbon filtration during treatment) You should isolate - quite contagious (turn your temp down a couple of degrees as high temps aggrevates this) hope Fluffy gets better

when my group studied the Chimps from Wellington Zoo for 6weeks they had honey pots behind a clear screen with holes drilled and the Chimps had to put their sticks through and work hard to get the honey reward..not much of a reward though haha

wOw finance and International business is QUITE a bit different to vet lOl..the complete opposite! I'm almost through my BSc in Biology now, gona do one year of secondary teaching too. Oh man - I think I got C's for both physics and chem lOl...the biol papers were the only good grades! I recently got a school of Cardinals and one of them had a suspicious white spot on it's dorsal fin, so as a precaution I used meth blue while they were floating in the bag and acclimatising. Seems to have done the trick

petshops down my ways are pretty clueless - they won't even order in Droncit for me and try to get me to use furan 2 for a worms

does yours have trouble swimming downwards? mine does that when it's eaten too much of the granules in the mornings - they come right by the end of the day. Do Discus fart? I've seen giant bubbles coming out of my Discus (IS it normal?)

right that is the LAST time I buy Discus from a petshop....NOT to mention because of it I have to find Droncit to treat my WHOLE DAMN tank I've noticed his/her pelvic fins (or is it pectoral) hasn't lengthened - how old would a fish be when that lengthens? He/she is quite the dominant one in the tank, i feed them whiteworm off the tip of a skewer and this one always comes right up so I don't think it's shy. Right I'll try and get my hands on some daphnia - do good for the whole tank.

cool i got to get some furan 2 anyway (thought they only come in capsules?)...should I still leave the lights out? I do add plant fert everytime I do a water change, should I stop until it goes away?
