  1. how many guppies have you got and what size tank? Cezarz on the forum has guppies under high densities but his never get diseased - when you introduce new fish do you quarantine them??
  2. the only fish dream I (Amy) have ever had was when I kept expensive imported goldfish...dreamt of my celestials and moors eyes popping because they spilled out of my tank and I dropped the tank on them - bizarre I could actually feel myself panicking in the dream
  3. loaches can be sneaky...one of my glowlights lost an eye overnight but now it's functioning well without it my tank's been delayed - hasn't arrived yet so won't be trying to breed them anytime soon
  4. what tank is it for? no fish over the edge?
  5. I'm going to have fun shifting the pair into their own tank  probably end up pulling out all the plants

  8. I think all retail stores need to hire staff who are passionate about the job rather than the money figure - nothing worse about entering a women clothing store to have staff who don't help or just give you the easiest option rather than work to get what the customer wants
  9. so the wager begins?? too bad ours haven't laid again :-?

  13. that's looks awesome - was going to start a nano tank for my boy but like most decisions I (Amy) make I always get bored and move onto something else lol...now I've got to get rid of a 13L cube I brought for my boy
  14. depends on the staff - some aren't there because they like what they do while other staff are passionate about their job
  15. Discus came right - it was probably the water change temp

    Discus

peppering = tiny black dots all over its body - like pepper.... pigeon bloods and Elcetric Dreams etc are prone to peppering
  17. ok TracyTrout maybe you should try another internet photo host?....I use Picturetrail I find it easy to use and the photos come up larger than Photobucket

    Discus

personally - cheaper prices usually indicate younger fish or stunted fish...whenever you buy Discus and buying from breeders that you can't physically go pick from be precise about what you want - small eye to body ratio, full fins (deformed fins are not favourable), red eyes are favourable, no peppering either (if your fish colour is prone to it). I have brought expensive ones and cheap ones but the cheap ones I tend to flick later on because they just don't end up looking as good as the ones brought from breeders/importers The price usually indicates what strain of Discus it is...common strains are cheaper etc
  19. I tried to correct it for you but I have no idea what you did Tracy
