  1. It was only trickling along when I set it up. Ill just have to experiment on the weekend after my exam.
  2. Was a 5 or so  So that's about 2 points, and I imagine once the acid overcame the buffer the swing would have taken a few minutes.
  3. :happy2: Cause it's my victory dance (as the pool wannabes will know of from the conference). 200 Cardinals or 100 cardinals and discus?
  4. And the award for the most rangi setup goes to......
  5. I have a spare room with a mattress if any one needs a few days out to get away from all the rubbish that is happening down there. I cook well too!
  6. Jeepers. I think 2 discus (snakeskin x blue turq) will die, but im absolutely amazed that the other fish (plecos included!) will be ok. They were all upside down at one stage! I think ill wait for the weekend before I mess around any more! Discus are in my 63L at the moment.
  7. ah well. I'll leave it till the weekend and tweak it then. Darn plecos were lifeless when i picked them up. Discus were upsidedown!
  8. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Guess who had to rush home during lunch because the CO2 caused the pH to crash and fish were upside down and dying?

    Fish at surface

    Do the water change.
  10. That looks great. It would be even better (in my opinion of course) if those rocks were nestled away in the plants with only a little bit showing; almost like the plants have grown around the rocks!
  11. That is...  gross. Pretty cool but gross. It's quite large.
  12. Pressurized CO2 all set up!
  13. I got 4 from a friend a few weeks ago. They were in a fish room and so the tank didn't have a direct light on top of the tank. The colours they now show are quite different to anything I have seen online. Does any one else have any pics of theirs that they would like to share? They have this amazing yellow blaze on them; except for one male with more normal colours that has a cool bumpy head. Here are mine (and yes, that is my finger; it's the only way I can get a pic of them! They move far too much!).
  14. Take a scotch brite pad and wipe the white stuff off. I can come over again on Sunday or next week if you require the skill of my long arms, but have an exam on Saturday.
  15. My crypts pearl with CO2. All plants need CO2 in some form or the other. Crypts are quite undemanding but will grow excellently in a hitech tank.
  16. Your hydrocotyle grows really well!
  17. Balansae prefers harder water which is usually the opposite to what your everyday planted tanks have.
  18. They like eating from the area where the water meets the land area. Put some blood worms there.
