  1. Frog cat. Coffee or tea?
  2. Tampering to see if someone has tried to open the heater at home. Pretty easy to see as the plastic parts get damaged due to excessive force. Then they look to see if the heater has been damaged because someone did manage to open it without damaging it. Sometimes they just test the heater depending on what the rep reports the problem as being (usually the customer's perspective) and replace it if it's going to involve too much work / time.
  3. I've only ever installed one heater vertically. The manuals do say install vertically, but I'm unsure if the warranty will be voided if you do not. Either ways there is no way to tell the position of a heater in a tank if they are inspecting it for a warranty claim. In fact; it's not one of the things they check for.

Strictly speaking, is Brochis S. a cory? I seem to recall it isn't which is why I technically thought I only had one species of cory :sml1:
  7. Nah, the other tank is for goldfish and the 68L tank has no fish in it. Might do dario dario in there if I decide not to rip the tank down.

Here are some of my cories. Feel free to post pics of your favourites. The third pic is my favourite.

    I'll start another cory thread.
  10. Yes! My thoughts exactly! Even the flatmates agreed. Problem is that I am so attached to those fish that I can't just put them somewhere else. I still want to own the fish, but yet not set up another tank to keep them. But then again the tank looks much better without them (although in that pic they are in the tank, but I had just finished a cold WC this morning). :dunno:

Definitely one of my favs. I also have 10 sterbais. Trilineatus are my other favourite that we get here.
  12. Update 25/06/2011 The pro CO2 is working well. I love the micro bubbles.
  13. Have you tried a snail trap? The idea is to get the shells out of the tank as well, or you'll be left with a load of calcium in the tank.

You won't really be able to see the cave itself as much as you will be able to see it's position in the tank and possibly its opening / entrance.

    4 or 5 f and 2 m I think.
  16. Go and do a water change. :rotf:
  17. Yes I figured if you have hoplos that will eat the tetras you might as well have pictus. Neons / cardinals etc tend to sleep at the bottom of the tank and make easy prey for hoplos etc. I've seen them eat them too! Pictus are probably worse at it though, but they are amazing fish to have. I'd get them again if I didn't have cardinals.
  18. I used to have those little snails that I liked living in my filters as my loaches would eat them in the tank. Started on my ferts and poof! no more cute little snails.
  19. :sml1: maybe i won't guarantee it; but i will be surprised if they dont die.
  20. It's a comprisepps rainbow fish.
